CEL = Shift light?

Can you program the CEL to be used a shift light? I was going to do a quick write up on a simple $3 super bright LED homemade shift light. I'm able to do this with AEM but wasn't sure about ECUFlash. Tried to search but came up empty.

Well, I guess thats another use for the bright LED so any knock doesn't go unnoticed. It was pretty easy to just tap off of ECU pin 36 for the CEL. Its a negative trigger so you just need to wire up the LED/resistor to 12v constant on the other side.

AEM can use the CEL as a shift light. My buddies car does this.

Yes, just the wire going to the ECU. I'll have some instructions soon with the ECU pin layout, parts list, and pics. Its really easy. Turned out better than I thought for 3 bucks worth of radio shack parts.

Yes, I have AEM ECU but I was wanting to do a quick write up to help both AEM and ECUFlash owners. So basically this LED will serve as a shift light for AEM and a knock light for ECUFlash. The super bright LED gets your attention during the day especially at night! One of the best mods I've done.
