ECU not listening

What would be some reasons why im getting over 24 psi of boost even though my BWGDC is set to 20 at all rpms and my BEC is set to 0? I say 24 psi because thats all i let it climb to before I let off the gas. Shouldn't I basically be getting wastegate pressure (15 psi or so) at those settings? My mods are listed in my sig and I have done multiple boost leak tests and no leaks.

Thats weird, I don't know why your boosting over 24 psi. I have my WGDC set to around 65 at peak and I'm only hitting 22.5 psi max. I also have all of my WGDC and Boost error correction tbles zeroed out on the right side. Of course I saved them for later to tune them to my boost curve. Have you looked at your WGDC correction tables? Have you tried the Tephramod v7?

What I would do is make sure you have the Grimmspeed installed correctly (I used all new hosing to install it and left the intake port to VTA) and if it is take a second look at all of your Boost error correction tables as well as any WGDC error correction tables (not sure if you have the Tephramod). Zero the right side of the correction tables and try a pull. If you want, I can give you my WGDC map (I have almost everything you have minus the LICP and intercooler upgrade).

I don't have the Tephramod. The grimmspeed is installed correctly. I actually had the same problem with the stock BCS which is why I replaced it. So... that eliminates a bad solenoid.
This is what my TBEC looks like:
-20.0 = 0.0
-13.0 = 0.0
-10.9 = 0.0
-9.1 = 0.0
-7.8 = 0.0
-5.8 = 0.0
-3.9 = 0.0
-1.9 = 0.0
0.0 = 0.0
1.9 = 0.0
3.9 = -0.5
5.8 = -1.5
7.8 = -2.0
9.1 = -2.0
12.3 = -4.0
16.2 = -7.0
19.8 = -18.0

When i log wastegate correction it never changes from 0 even when im over my target boost. Which it should because I left the overboost corrections in there for safety. And the logged WGDC is pretty average @ 85% during a pull. Shouldn't that be no more than the 20 I have it set to?

The ultimate problem when you get down to it is the wastegate is not opening causing huge boost. I did test the actuator and it opens at about 15 psi which is ok. So I am perplexed. The only other thing i haven't tried is connecting a boost line directly from the turbo outlet to the actuator and leaving out the solenoid entirely.

What does your Boost Desired Engine Load and/or PSI?

If you are logging 85 percent, that will be the reason for your overboost. Either you or I have it backwards but the way I tuned my WGDC map is direct. For example, I input 62.5% WGDC at 3500rpm and thats what my ECU logs and listens to. I am aiming for 62.5 % WGDC, not 36.5%.

Try entering this for your BWGDC or whatever table that controls your WGDC. I am not familiar because when I first flashed my ECU I started using the v7 Tephramod.

500 = 70
1000 = 70
1500 = 70
2000 = 70
2250 = 70
2500 = 67
2750 = 65
3000 = 63
3500 = 62.5
4000 = 63
4500 = 62
5000 = 62.5
5500 = 62
6000 = 63
6500 = 64.5
7000 = 67

this is what my BWGDC was @ when I did the log.

500 0
1000 0
1500 0
2000 0
2250 20
2500 20
2750 20
3000 20
3500 20
4000 20
4500 20
5000 20
5500 20
6000 20
6500 20
7000 20

so either im crazy or the ecu isn't listening and doing what it wants.

well I figured it out. Turns out the cobb map I converted using ECU unlocker was the problem. So i found a stock 05 map and just entered all the tables manually and bingo. Thanks Cobb. I only wasted 4 months of troubleshooting and gas.

Wow, this was a 4 month long problem I'm glad you were able to figure it out.

I finally can start tuning. At least I will have a solid boost system since I basically replaced everything but the Turbo.

Has anyone tried using the Cobb dongle with ECUFLASH?
