I have an evo x sst... edm.
I put on it the hsf-6, with the failsafe as described in the first page.

The problem is it's acting the opposite way.. when the kit is switched off, there is zero volt on pin 115 (ie: the black line is connected to the white line), and when i switch the kit on, there is 5v on pin 115 (ie: the black line is released/disconnected from the white line)

Any thoughts?

PS: If i test the brown wire, it's acting the opposite way. (ie: disconnected from the white line when the kit is off, and connected to the white line when the kit is on)

Tks

I am guessing there is just a relay with normally open and normally closed contacts at the other end of this.

You possibly selected the wrong pins.

i think I originally said brown, but then Richard from Aquamist said it should be black...

does the ICS light flash with the kit on or off?

Tell Richard it should be brown lol
Didnt even look at the ics light, but i am sure that when i switch the kit off the black wire is connected to the white, and when the kit is on it's not connected. The brown works the other way around.
Something i noticed, if you read page 18 in the user manuel, you can tell that under normal operartion the brown wire is connected to the white, which is inline with what i found.

I used the brown wire and it works perfect, tks Tephra.
There is a small problem however. I am putting 14.3 afr in the altmap (when the kit kicks in), but
When I log the afrmap with evoscan it shows 12.8888... Any thoughts? at idle, it's reading 14.7, like it should, so i'm getting confused :-S

Why would it log 14.7 at idle and clip at 12.8888 at higher loads??

Btw, the car has sst gearbox.

Tks

there is a max fuel map table based on accelerator pedal.

however you shouldn't need to touch it really..

what injectors and scale do you have?

I have stock injector scaling 532 (I run stock injectors).
At 12.8888 with the aquamist on, afr's are at abt 10.5, I was thinking of increasing
My alt map injector scaling about 7-8% so that the afr's will be about 11.2-11.3 & the fuel trims will still be able to make up for 7%

My fuel trims were +12% (somehow) and were affecting wot afr.
Now I did the mod to stop trims from affecting wot and hopefully it will sort it out.

It's actually my friend's car. He has the agp. I think it ha same maf pipe dia as stock dunno why though trims were that high. The reason his car is so rich though is bcs he is using 2jets ( 1 and 0.9mm), and injecting pure ethanol which has higher stoich than meth

otherwise you can change the max lean map...

Nop actually i left it at direct ratio with the injectors. I just prevented trims to control wot and afr is low 11 now... That's enough. Tks
