No MAP on evo8, can i install it?

That is, my evo 8 does not have MAP sensor, it has the place to installed on the manifold, but it is not there. Can i install the omni 4bar MAP, and wire it to the ecu to use the Speed Density software?

If i can do, anyone can tell me the ecu pins to do it?

Im not able to come up with a solution for you myself, however I think it maybe helpful to somone who can if they know: Which year and market EVO 8 you have. UKDM, JDM etc.

could this be done using the extra wires on the spooling up sd cable and using the extra wires for the map sensor rather than running new wire to the ecu

like the baro signal wire in the maf plug be used to be the signal wire for the map sensor

and so have one plug from the original maf plug that will run the map sensor and the iat sensor

I suggest you read this topic - https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...te-2j1-wb.html

Information there + EvoVIII ECU pinout + correct Tephra v7 ROM for your car should solve the problem you have.

no i have read that i know how to do it by running fresh wires

but what i mean is there a way of not running fresh wires and using the baro sig wire from the original harness to run a map sensor so it can be plug in job and removal back to standard

ahhhhhhhhhh. I see. You should be able to follow the sticky thread for logging boost which leads into converting to SD. I'm actually in the process of doing this. Can't wait to get it up and running without having annoying idle issues.
