Hey guys. My 2 cents:
(I have an 04 Evo 8)

My car came with a 9417 ROM

Tried the 9653 and never had luck with it. Even when I still had my MAF.
Switched to the 94170715 SD 2.0 and haven't had any issues after tuning the big SD table.

I copied over my high octane and timing map along with immobilizer, and all my boost tables ect and I just focused on the one table until the car ran great again.
Although it's actually running better than it did with the mass air flow.

If I can help I will but keep at it guys. It sucks going through all the info but the pages are here to get the car done.

My only request is if an admin can put all the most relative/recent posts in a sticky thread to save us all the headache of going through a ton of stuff. If need be at first we can start a new thread to bring the most recent knowledge to light and then save it to a new place? Thoughts anyone?

Im sure most people wouldn't mind doing a search to find what they need first of they knew what information they were inquiring was recent.

It is frustrating. I know I've been there too before. Sometimes I ended up just trying things until I got it right. If old threads with misinformation we're removed it would make searching for answers easier. If it's possible that is because I know not everyone who made a major contribution is not active anymore.

Anyway. I did have a question too. Does anyone get a code for a rich situation when cruising...4th or 5th gear..... around 3k....?

I need to do some cruise logging ...I probably need to adjust my schedule to table to pull a little fuel someplace. Just wondering if anyone had a similar issue.

Never had that before, I have been on the 9417 for over a year and a half now. First couple of months I ran it in closed loop for cruising then switched it to run full open loop. One thing I noticed is that when it gets hot out, like 90+, at idle and low load cruising the car leans out like a full point. I'm still using the fuel temp sensor as iat, when I stop being lazy ill swap over to the iat sensor I have along with the spoolinup harness for it and see how the car runs after.

only other thing i noticed is my boost error correction isn't perfect. i commented in other threads, but if you could share your error correction table and maybe your main map WGDC table that might help. unless your running an upgraded turbo then just the error correction table. i'm wondering if my values are just way off...or do i need to dial in my WGDC table in better? it's not spiking or over boosting.......also i'd like to add i'm using a grimspeed 3 port with stock turbo.
i'll get to do some more logging soon and report back, if anybody wants to share xml or any other tables i'm in for re-gathering information!

So i have been running the 9417 on my personal vehicle for a while now, probably close to two years. Been ok for the most part, tuning for power using this rom was always really convenient as I have used this rom on several vehicles. The problem for me seems to be getting low load/driveability perfect(not jitter related). Can anyone clarify if the 9417 relies on the VE map or MAF scaling for fuel trims as i'm getting some erratic fuel trim behavior.

Good Day All,

Quick question: Am I able to use the VE map to control the entire fueling operation and turn the fuel map into a target map? i using SD 2.0 on 9055. Is this possible?

Both the VE tables and MAF scaling tables will affect fuel trims. You may have to adjust both to get things where they need to be.

I had a feeling that was going to be the case. It seems the changing the ve at low load nearly has no affect. Thanks for the reply.

I definitely feel like some cars/setups respond better than others to changes in the VE table. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to figure out yet why or what would be causing this.

The two cars that I run it on didn’t have issues responding to ve changes in boost but the issue I’m having with mine is scaling ve at like 40kpa(absolute) when cruising down the hill, in open loop it stays really rich no matter how much I take away from ve. Also from 60-100kpa(absolute) under 1300rpm seems to be problematic too, when I turn the a/c on the car gets really jittery. It’s not that big of a problem but Is a bit annoying. I’ll keep working on it I guess I’m just to busy to mess with my own car.

Hey guys just wondering if anyone else if having any problems with the xml and .bin files on the first page ?

I saved both to my computer and put the new xml's into my ecuflash folder and tried to open the bin file and while the 9653 opened it was only a few tables some of which werent showing up right anyway.

As for the 9417 it wont open it at all.

Im trying to get my car figured out still and would like to get the 3d VE tables available for tuning. Im on the original V7 SD 9653 rom. Im getting pretty much all the same issues as other people. Car has lean tip in issues and rich idle condition. As well as a coolant temp not reached CEL which i cant get to go off.

Id like to try the 9417 rom and see if i can get the jitter and CEL to go away. Id gladly pay someone to send me 9417 2.0 SD rom, ecuflash and evoscan folder so i can make sure all my stuff is right.

Anybody out there with some insight to the situation ? lol.

I tried deleting Ecuflash and starting fresh with just the 3D SD xml's and .bin files. Still get nothing and cant get the 9417 rom file to even open in EcuFlash. While the 9653 rom opens but only has a few new tables but they seem to be incorrect anyway.

Could anybody possibly hook me up with their Evo xml folder in Ecuflash and Evoscan ?
