05mr cant read rom

You should still be able to save the rom. Open it again and use the method I described in this post.

After i followed your post ^^ i used the 2005 evo8 usdm model like my car is and i got the number 96940011 whats next?

Also i went thru the whole method of finishing after that and now when i open file the car info shows up under rom data and it says flash method id mitsukernel whats this? internal id is 96940013 inherit from 96940011

Make sure these xml's are in your rom meta data folder.

C:\Program Files\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\mitsubishi\evo

thats the default location unless you changed your settings.

Ok and after that what's next or should it show up everything in the left hand side when I go to open that file again?

Should at least be more than just the rom info on the left side

How do i do so? i havent changed anything but the user level to developer. And i cant get it to do anything for me!! anyone that is willing to help via text or over the phone please pm me

All it shows when i open the file now is the Rom info tab and under that i have make model etc internal id 96940013. Flash method: mitsukernal, Memory model SH7062,

Sorry for all the questions but im new to the evo tuning thing ive used dsp's only when i tuned previously.

It seems the xml you have is being overriden by the one you created to see the rom ID. You're going to have to look through your xmls and find out which one is causing the problem.

ok i got the file to show up i went to evo and it has all the numbers in it and i added the 96940013 and it already had the 96940011 and evo7base in it. AND.....................................



















I FINALLY FREAKIN GOT IT THANKS SO MUCH MAN!!!!

I suppose you're on a 64 bit OS then?

Look for it under program files (x86) then just search man :P

I'm not trying to be a pr!ck, but if you are having trouble finding something this simple, then I suggest that before you try and tune the car, you get someone local to you to show you the basics of opening saving and backing up your ROM files. Again, not trying to insult you, but that is a pretty simple action and should be easy enough for someone with reasonable PC skills.

its cool i just couldnt find it on my pc because it was in a completly different folder not even under rometa data so thats why i was having s o much trouble finding it like i mentioned before i have NEVER dealt with rom files and pc tuning like this ive only used diablosport predator handheld tuners sorry for being the newb
