Thanks Jon for applying this to my car today. Upon initial testing (mashing the gas pedal from a stop) I was able to obtain wheelspin right when it hits boost. I will try launching it with the left foot on the brake when I have some time and an open lot.

I just got tuned and had the restriction removed and set at 100%, but it doesn't feel how I expected from a dead stop I punch the gas and it feels like it has a stall to like 3000rpms and then it kicks in. I know there is boost lag, but it feels to sluggish from a dead stop. Does this sound right if the settings where changed to a 100%?

Sounds about right. You have to realize that our car's power potential comes on when boost is hit. From 0-3000rpm you won't notice a difference because boost hasn't been engaged. But after that, that's when it really punches the car and Mitsubishi applies the limiter to protect the SST. Now that it's removed, you will feel much more only during boost.

The correct way to do it is to put the car into S-Sport, turn off traction control, , left foot brake and right foot gas to 3-5K and take off! That way, you will always be in boost from the time you move.

does it sound like the clutch is slipping? ie does it like sit and hold a certain rpm for a bit longer than normal?

I don't think that's the cause all I have on my SE is an intake and a 3" straight pipe from the DP back. It made 315hp and 329 torque on 27psi

Get a boost gauge installed, you'll see that boost doesn't start kicking in until 3-4k. It will give you an idea when to expect power as well.

Fun fact of the day when doing some baseline adjustments on my new car:

2011 Evo X MR
rom: 56900010

1st Gear TPS Limiters all read 100% from the factory.

Now don't all go out and blow your SST Trannies doing a launch and blame me though!

yea they limit 1st gear with the boost tables now.

1st gear - 75% (instead of 100%) WGDC in Reactive until 5500rpm, 0% WGDC in passive until 5500 rom

Ahh good to know, seems a little soft coming off the line still so a bit of tweaking should net a happy balance.
