EVOSCAN macbook pro
I'm having some troubles with my macbook air with OSX Lion. Im using an openport 2.0 and VMWare running windows 7 with vmtools installed and I'm having NO connection to either USB ports
I've tried ecuflash, evoscan, and even ecuflash for mac.
Is the 2.0 just NOT compatible with macs? FML

Maybe this will help you... https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...-ecuflash.html
Tactrix 2.0 works fine with a Mac/VMWare Fusion, at least on Snow Leopard. I haven't set it up on my Lion machine yet, but that shouldn't be an issue. Make sure you check your preferences, it's possible the first time you plugged in a USB device, you chose to always connect to Mac, rather than ask which machine you wanted.

got this from nasoic:
looks ill be installing ecuflash again on my old computer (that i just wiped because its on ebay). ****
I'm having issues with XP recognizing it as well.
During the ECUFlash install, it installs the OP 2.0 drivers as well so not sure how you get that in WinMobile but..
I get an error and XP doesn't fully install the driver.
Says "A service installation section in this INF is invalid"
Edit#2 - figured it out...I took a 'shotgun' approach - copied my win/inf and win/System32 folder from a laptop with a full install, it recognized it but also asked for a usbser.sys file which I then copied over. Haven't pulled my ROM yet but all seems well.

+1 for a mac version, but the iPad version is higher on my list. The iPad is more convenient for logging. The kind of typing you need fits the soft keyboard concept. A few drags and few values, check this uncheck that. It can be mounted more easily that something that has keyboard attached and folds up. I used a netbook for a while, and that still fell short compared to the iPad.
That coming soon in 2011 is a teaser though.

That is a good point. I would pay for a new license for an iPad version as its a different platform. It has to make business sense to do it, and I get that. Seems completely appropriate.
+1
I have an app from GoPoint and the cable that plugs into my iPad, but the program is kind of janky and some of the stuff doesn't work right. I'd be willing to come out my pocket for an official Evoscan iPad version.
