'03 evo 8 - ecuflash timeout error
Can anyone help me here?

I followed all the steps...tried searching for a similar problem...some people with windows 7 had the same issues but unrelated
I uninstalled and reinstalled the newest ecuflash and my tactrix cable is brand new 2.0 rev E
Anyone?

enough volts in the car?
that pesky fuse that stops you reflashing ok?
otherwise it looks like a driver issue to me... uninstall ecuflash, uninstall ALL the openport drivers..
maybe install the beta 3000 (or was it 3150)...

in add/remove programs if you see any tactric/openport references then uninstall them (after you have uninstalled ecuflash that is)
i cant remember the fuse exactly, search on here.. some guy couldn't reflash or something and he found a fuse was blown...

removed ecuflash and the individual taxtrix drivers that were installed...still doesn't work
I tried evoscan for the hell of it...evoscan doesn't recognize the cable either...I'm starting to think maybe the cable is bad

Resolution Update:
After conversing with John @ Akuma, he determined it was the smaller white "writing" plug that was causing my connection issue.
I sent my cable back to tactrix for a replacement and received a new cable. I was able to read and write to the ECU.
Thanks to John @ Akuma and Amanda @ Tactrix for helping me resolve this issue.
