EVOScan 2.8 reading AEM Wideband

Any ideas on how to get this to log AFR. Running windows 7.
I can read from HyperTerminal @9600.

I know it's on COM5. I'm using a Staples Serial adaptor

forget all that adapter garbage.. it just makes things more complicated. run the white wire from you gauge to the white wire pin 71 i believe. then you just add a new item in evoscan and input the formula. the formula can be found if you search for the thread that talks about logging wide band through ecu. its really really simple.

Not sure what baud rate s/b. 9600 is what worked on Hyper Terminal.

Milford, sounds good to me. Is that the way yours is wired? Pin 71 on ECU?

find the thread, i believe "darkmitsu" is the one who started the thread. That name may be slightly off but you will find it. Yes thats how mine is set up. Way easier then making a cable and adapter and selecting com port BS. just extend the white wire from the back of your gauge to the pin wire. then right click on a random item in evoscan and u will see a tab to " add item or something like that. name it whatever u want and just past in the formula in the right spot and your done. you can find the correct pin number and the formula in that thread.

Well I'm still trying to get serial port logging to work with no luck.
Changed baud rate to COM port to 19200, which is the rate for the UEGO, still n/g.

Before I start re-wiring, I'd like to see if others have resolved this.

Opened a ticket with EVOScan over a week ago, no response from them.

need to get logging since I believe I have a boost leak. AFR's are rich according to gauge.

OK, throwing in towel with trying to read from serial port.

My ? is, I'm running a test pipe with UEGO in bung.

How can I tap into ECU to get this working rather then tapping into rear 02?

Hi guys, I made a webpage all about this last year, because I get questions on this every week. if you have some more information, let me know the link, and I'll add it.

Evoscan v2.8 has always supported all AEM. v2.9 supports the new AEM that I made a special version for a few people last month, there are other threads on here about this.

it would be great to have my brand new wideband not be a useless tool anymore...

I've got an FJO wideband...it's got an infinitely adjustable output....

My question is, do I need to adjust the voltage output to match one of the wideband's on the above list (AEM, Innovate, Zeitronix), and just select which one I match it up with? Hope that makes sense...(for example Zeitronix output is AFR=2xV+9.6), can I just use that for my FJO and select Zeitronix?
