Ratsbud, have you set your rom to full time OL? Would that be beneficial for adding more fuel in low rpm/load areas, same areas as -ve timing?

Yea I run full open loop. Haven't figured out the timing my car is happy with yet so this has been going slow. Might be false knock too..

I'm eager to try low AFR figures (7.4 - 7.7) along with -20 timing in low load/rpm zone along with SAS tables enabled, but my car is currently in storage
I would like to try it with & without a throttle kick.
You could use conservative timing & continue to experiment with ALS. Why don't use det cans to verify phantom knock?

Don't have a set and I'm not familiar with how to use them

I can't even find conservative timing on my car it just knocks so randomly. Im missing a concept with timing nothing no amount of timing being pulled makes it happy

Knocking at 1 psi too sigh

then it must be a phantom, it's very common when high degree cams are installed with aftermarket springs & retainers. I think you need to de-tune your knock control tables. Most common form of det cans is a battery operated unit with a conventional knock sensor & headphones, so knock could be audibly verified.
You seem handy with manual work, make your own det can

Ok I'm going to do that. My afr swings a full point within minutes of back to back pulls. Pulling my hair out and preventing me from experimenting

That might be normal with 'lean spool' on, disable LS if you're not comfortable with it.

Ok since I have a FB 70mm throttle body, I screwed the throttle open and emplyed the stationary rev limit. Sounds like rotational idle ~1500 rpm.

next adding 12-13% throttle plus -20 in 40 load column, im going to try jacking the throttle to~30, or should I be jacking it 30 ontop of the normal idle 13?

clearly makes more pressure than normal overrun right? were on a start here.

I have the serious thought that SAS neeeds A LOT more air to work.

What about fuel? since you run full time OL try inserting rich values in 0-40 load, would the ecu comply?
With stand alones, I usually jack the throttle by 12-15% (2500-3000rpm).

I'll not be surprised if you end up getting a stand alone :]

I really want a haltech or vipec pnp you add 12-15 to the base throttle correct?

I haven't messed much with fuel cause I only have clutch in to keep rpms adequate during idle .. Would be easy to fix if I wanted that pin grounded based on vss

I will tinker a little more tonight standalone is looking much more better every day. I got my tune pretty decent on the s2 cams. Rescaled my SD tune and had to take a ton of timing out of her I guess it only likes 1 degree at peak load!

I'll switch to the 8858 3dsd rom here shortly. I replaced my iat so I'll have to find a dedicated bung for the sas valve. Kinda why I peeked into the throttle jacking. Boy there is an obvious difference in the bangs sas vs jacked. It leads me to suspect a lot more air is needed via sas
