Richard - is there a way to log the final value that is being determined for boost? IE [MAP] - [Atmospheric Boost] ? If the value is already in the ECU it might be nice to be able to see it as output (I know some people were logging both items and calculating it before).

I actually haven't ever tried it on the 5MT, I wonder if it works on shifts like it does on the SST, maybe it uses the clutch switch?
I haven't but I was thinking that right after I posted it. I also wasn't sure if that table could be used to build a little better launch boost.

iat adjustment of .5 shown on partial throttle run into low boost.
baro shows 14.5

looks like a success to me!
Thanks a million.

I've updated the first post. It's now available to all.

I'll have a rummage around. That would indeed be useful.

My old logging method of PSIG = ( absolute ) - [Baro] is an answer.

The (absolute) part is just the EvoScan eval for PSIG without the -14.5 part.
i.e. x/4*0.1929....

I've really liked this patch so far. I was getting erratic boost control with my direct boost setup (I'm sure it's user error and noobiness on my part), but with the IAT adjusted WGDC curve, I have been able to leave boost error correction off and still see very similar boost curves with 30 degree temperature swings. This is exactly what I was looking for.

I'll re-enable downward error correction once I'm happy with my baseline tune, but this has given me one less thing to worry about during the tuning process.

A quick reminder to those who used an early version of RAX Patch on Evo X SST:

I have updated it with a third patch, Atmospheric Boost Baro Compensation. With this patch, your psi-based boost targets will automatically adjust themselves to correct for different altitudes.

The Ralliarts and Evo X 5MT versions have had this for a while - it took me a bit longer than expected to get around to the X SST!

If your ROM ID is listed as "Untested" on the first post, and you have in fact verified the latest revision as working, please post here and let me know.

Rich,
i just updated to the latest patch ROM but the IAT adjustment table A1:scale/table data has (no match) in it..... this is without changing the related tables at all.
Can you take a look at that please? Its for the 52690022 ROM.

Sure. Probably the simplest way is to email me your patched ROM and I'll check it out...

Yes, it's designed to be compatible with XMOD v1.

On the first post, I've updated the Ralliart ROM patches to the latest version.

There's also a new one listed: USDM Ralliart 2012... 58030005.

Also... added the link for ROM 52360018 - JDM 5MT 2008.

kitashin, if you're able to get back to me with the final testing results, I can mark this one as TESTED. If I remember correctly, we just had to verify that Atmospheric Boost Baro Compensation was working as expected, correct?

Cheers,

Rich

Have a lot of you guys been editing the 'IAT Adjusted BWGDC' table at all, or do you just use the stock values that are given? We're getting some pretty consistent temperatures day to day now, so I won't have a good oppurtunity to test some different settings. I would think that there's something like a 10-15°F range there where you woudn't want any adjustment...

I've been using the stock "RAX" values. They seem like a plausible setup. I have yet to have issues with it.
