Thanks everyone

i wanted to get the new version up and running before sending you something that wouldn't read chain info properly..
Coincidentally the timing chain revised (for a 2nd time) around April 2012, so could it be related to this third version used in model year 2013+? My 2013 was built in July 2012.

really, any info (or links) on the 3rd chain? maybe they decided the 3rd chain doesn't stretch so they disabled the functionality?
edit - just checked out the 2012,2011 and 2010 USDM ROM's - and they all have the chain reset/set/read code disabled as well... interesting!

Interesting. Though this bit exists starting MY 2010, I'm guessing it shouldn't mean the learned value no longer exists or that it can't be extracted. 2010 service manual section 11A-18 makes reference to transfer this value if you need to replace the ECU:
•Storing the learning value regarding the amount of timing chain elongation before the ECM replacement
•Writing the learning value into the new ECM after the ECM replacement
Or this bit cropped up sometime in 2010 after 55570005 after publishing the service manual? Anyway, keep up the good work. I've started down the path to puzzle out the ROM disassembly, though I'm very late to the party.

Thanks again Tehpra for the ACD bleed program! You do a great service to us Evo owners!
Ok now for a completely noob request. Anyone have a picture of the bleeder valve for the ACD pump? I've searched the net and the factory service manual for the '08 Evo and can't find a diagram or picture for the ACD bleeder valve. I'm looking around section 00-71 of the service manual. Am I in the wrong section?
