who would pay for a
I tried emailing tephra a couple weeks ago, and got no reply.
I tried to read through and find it, but is the timing chain reset working?
Also, has anyone successfully bought a copy of the software lately ?
Thanks

The timing chain reset DOES NOT work. It has to be fixed in a new revision. But with the newest forms of software from Tactrix this program will not work. Tephra has to update it.

hey guys,
im going to release a new version soon that addresses the recent ecuflash verson issues..
ive also added steering wheel angle, since a lot of people try to bleed with the wheel turned one full turn (usually because they have dropped the motor and flipped the wheel by accident)
timing chain RESET works just fine, but i'm working on the query..
on another topic I also have VIN re-writing working, but because of the security implications i only do it on an as-needed basis... I was tempted to put in FASTKey encoding as well, but i think the process is a bit complicated, ill see.. if I have time
edit - anyone thats paid will get the new version for free

just while im on the timing chain stuff.. i had a look at the code..
the changes for P0012 detection that mitsu did was just to double the limits.. at least thats what happened between 2009 and 2011 AUDM... bit dodgey
also as far as I can tell, these values aren't stored in NVRAM (ie where the VIN is stored).. this means whenever the ECU is disconnected the values are lost..
so i dont know how the ECU calculates chain stretch, ie is it computed over a long period of time (unlikely given you can disconnect the ECU to reset it) or is it calculated quickly over a short drive.
if the former, why when you change the ECU does mitsu say you need to save the learned values and then restore them onto the new ECU..
doesn't make sense...
