If its not defined ECUFlash will not know the image and in this case I haven't seen anyone publically speak of a 2012 ROM that has been defined yet. Hopefully someone will look into it, I have a friend that just got a 2012 and I know he'll want some tuning soon as well.
I checked Golden's XML database and no 2012's are listed there either.

Im guessing the 2012 ROM is totally different than a 2011?
and being "defined" means?
you cant log or tune until this happens?

You will be able to log - just not in mode 23. You will not be able to tune until tables are defined.
If you can post up the ROM image the disassemblers can get working on an XML for it. Finding the ROM ID is the first step and only takes minutes once the file is up. If you need me to host the file PM me and I'll send you email information so I can get it up here.

These days, EvoM allows you to upload ROM images attached to posts. Just ensure the file has a .bin or .hex extension.
I'm happy to get in on the disassembly fun... but perhaps we can coordinate things. That way, 4 people aren't all simultaneously looking for the fuel map, then the timing map, then... etc.

Here's where Merlin's "Ralliart and Evo X Tuning Guide" currently lives...
http://thefrost.net/randomfiles/tuning/merlin/
Also, if it helps, I put something together for n00b Ralliart owners (like me, at the time) who were getting into this stuff. A lot of it is directly relevant to Evo X world...
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/09...f-dummies.html
Check out the bits like:
ECU Connectivity
Connecting via Tactrix OP2.0
First EcuFlash Read
Save Original ECU Image
Good luck.

The main map definitions have been done for 2012 USDM 5MT and SST ROMs.
Download the 58010005 xml from goldenevo.com. You should then be able to open, review and edit that ROM of yours.
