How can someone tell if they have a incorrect ROM flashed on their car? I recently had codes pulled and had like 4-5 "invalid codes" along with P0138/p0139, P0171, P0113, P1235.

My only mod is a TBE, i do have a very tiny exhaust leak in the downpipe. I bought the car used last weekend. I've swapped all fluids, changed spark plugs, got fuel relay updated, got my fuel pressure line zip-tied, and did a compression test which checked out fine.

Any thoughts? The codes are really freaking me out.

What you have confused possibly is ROM and Codes. Codes are what triggers the SES(service engine soon) light.

CODES: p0138--Heated oxygen sensor (rear) circuit high voltage
p0139--Heated oxygen sensor (rear) circuit slow response
p0171--System too lean
p0113--Intake air temperature circuit high input (sensor 1)
p1235--Mass airflow sensor plausibility

TurboBack causes the first 2. Erase them by canceling the code using software such as EcuFlash.
Evos are fine with either an exhaust or open element intake but run lean with both.(my experience)
Last 2, i would check all intake connections etc.

I do understand the difference between ROM and code, I was told by a local tuner that sometimes the incorrect ROM can be flashed to a car...doesn't each car have a certain ROM with a particular ID on it? That's what I'm wondering, if my car has been flashed with a incorrect ROM...Tephra had some ROMs listed in his V1 thread...

as per goldenevo.com check it out. i would ask a tuner for the correct definition of your rom. more than likely they will have it if they are reputable and understand what they are doing. the ROM is "read only memory" and every evo has their own rom and some being the same. The ID is what distinguishes the type of ROM the car has
