Jumpy idle while decelerating...?
Jumpy idle while decelerating...?
My car has done this for some time, but I just wonder if there is something that can be done to remedy it. Lets say I'm driving around after the car is at full operating temp, and I press in the clutch as I'm decelerating to stop, my idle bounces.... but when I actually come to a stop it stabilizes. Any thoughts on this?
The ECU has two different idles - one for moving and one for stopped. If you are tuned it sounds like the moving one was not properly adjusted and the other was or something affected one but no the other.
This is a nice feature when it works properly as it keeps the car from stalling (and losing power steering / brake assist).

Appreciate your insight & info into this.
It also could be an air leak (especially post butterfly) or something else, but its tough to say.
EDIT: It could also be the target idle vs temp tables. Lots of options there!
