So why am I/was I able to flash with the PPC....was it because it was windows PPC based? I just assumed be able to flash with it since I was able to with the older hardware.
If this is the case that sucks. It was half the reason I was buying it.

Ha! Touch screen cruise is my current pipe dream. It should be possible with something like this http://www.murphskits.com/catalog/pr...roducts_id=422 and an android device. If I knew how to, it would be done. Alas I'm not so savvy.

With this android version you don't seem to be able to modify the functions or anything like that.
All you can do is log to an excel file and have gauges, which is fine if that's what you're after, but it does mean that you need a laptop to do anything more.
Maybe the thing is to wait till windows tablets are a bit cheaper then just run Evoscan 2.9 on it.

Hamish said it has the ability to do it...he just needs enable it more or less. He will be updating soon (trying to pin him down to an approx. timeframe).

Being able to flash with this is one of the main reasons I bought it. Seeing as how long everything is taking though I am looking at getting (wasting money on?) a OpenPort 2.0 in the meantime....

He said its capable. he just has to update it software wise to do it. That was 50% of the reason I bought it as well.

So whats new for the latest technology EvoScan GPSNav? Well where do we start, theres just so many fantastic features, I’ll try and quickly list the most awesome top features here, and add more details below.
* Latest Android v4.0.4 operating system.
* Latest EvoScan Android Software.
* Faster EvoX datalogging… EvoX up to 700+ samples per second.
* Supports Mitsubishi 2008-2012 EvoX and Lancer Ralliart datalogging, uses the new android right angle datalogger cable “EvoScan OpenPort 3.0DA”, sold separately.
* Supports Mitsubishi 1994-2008 datalogging, uses the new “EvoScan OpenPort 1.3DA” datalogger cable, sold separately.
* Powers itself via the Datalogger cable from the car, means one less cable in the car. Switches it self off using Acc Key ignition, you can leave the cable in the OBDII port and it switches itself off when the key is off to save your car battery life.

While everything above hasn't yet come to fruition (like switching itself off)
. I think that Evodroid, being able to flash, might have been a bit of wishful thinking on your part.

I have made a huge technology leap in diagnostic cables, and actually made the CABLE the USB HOST! your android is now the device slave and communicates via the usb debugging port on the EvoDroid7.
This new cable is like none other before it. It is on pre-order special at just $57USD each, I would just buy this new android cable, and use the reflashing cable only when needed, so that you don't wear out your expensive openport 2.0 cable.
Take note the DA on the end of the new 1.3DA and 3.0DA cables refers to Datalogger / Android. There is the possibility of using these cables also for reflashing, I will send out more detail on this later.

There is lots of whinging about, it doesn't do this and it doesn't do that, and can I have flashing lights when I over boost and what, it doesn't do fancy graphs for my log files?
I know we are all frustrated with the wait and Hamish is pretty much AWAL, but it never was going to be anything more than a datalogger with gauges.
Maybe in the future, who knows??
