Argh my tuner broke my evodroid when we tried to extend the wiring to the switch to remote mount it.... said some part of the board fell off on soldering...

The evodriod tablet seems to not completely fill the screen area of the jdm double din deck plate. Meaning I see some of the borders of the tablet.
180mmx105mm is display area. Is there a better fitting tablet?

 

Mate, it's been almost a week. If the gauge designer needs work I can understand that, but the pinout should be easy copy'n'paste of what they are for and which end is pin 0. Or are you writing more comprehensive documentation for the external inputs?

Basically any update would be appreciated

 

So the turn around time is a month for these things right n My original evoscanPPC is too unreliable for me to use it anymore.

I need to order one and get it as soon as possible.

 

I'm a great believer in the power of positive thinking, but.... I wouldn't count on getting it in a month.

Order one. chill and you'll get when you get it. Mine took 8 months.

On the positive side, we're lucky there are people out there like Hamish who sacrifice their free time to do this ****. He won't be getting rich off this.

 

Has anyone considered putting evoscan software from evodroid to android based headunit? I wonder if it will recognize the 1.3DA cable?

 

I'm pretty sure Android only acts as a USB accessory device. That means that the cable itself is acting as the host. I would guess that any Android device will recognize the cable since all the smarts are included on the cable side. That's just an educated guess though.

 

Oh I realize. I used to speak with Hamish on skype until this took off, now he's impossible to get a hold of. I appreciate his hard work.

I have been harassing Hamish about releasing the software so I could use it with my Parrot Asteroid Smart but since he's buried in trying to fullfill evodroid orders for people who ordered I figured i would just pile on and order one too. When it does get released I'll have 3 different ways to log and flash my ECU. LOL

 

Yeah, that would be nice. I converted my CarPC to a nexus 7, and have asked Hamish as well to release the Android software.

I think he wants to wait until his EvoDroid7 project is done and he sells all of those, etc. If he released the software too soon, what incentive would people have to buy the Evodroid? I'm pretty sure that is his motive, and nothing wrong with it from his business point of view...but in the meantime, plenty of others waiting for the software.

I don't want to wait. So I bought it and I will probably buy the software when it comes out. I have a ton of Android devices.
Hopefully there is a discount for early adopters.

he needs to hire someone or a team that will HELP him, not bring him more issues.
it is a business after all. he should not turn him into the bottle neck of the business.
one man only has 24 hrs.

a team has 999999xxx hrs.

he needs to learn to have his business leverage other ppl's time and money.
its what a business does.
