I wouldn't use the word "flashing" that is reserved for re-flashing. I would use the term "mut diagnostic mode"

thats because you were using a 1.3R or 1.3U cable before.. whereas 1.3D and 1.3DA both set the ecu to "mut diagnostic mode", always have. It is for maximum compatibility with 1992-1998 mitsubishi vehicles. without "mut diagnostic mode" for them datalogging is impossible. if you like to stop the CEL lights from flashing like the 1.3R/1.3U cables do.. then you can disconnect obdii pin1 safely. it does nothing other than sets ecu to"mut diagnostic mode".

all the 1.3R and 1.3U cables do is toggle the pin1 on the OBDII to ground or not.. to set the "mut diagnostic mode" . I could look into a toggle setting for you that can toggle the pin1 from software. I don't notice it on my evo8 because I disconnected my pin1 a long time ago for this reason.

unable to resolve host, means that you have no dns host resolve . i.e there is no wifi turned on. because it connects to the website to get the latest xml file for that datasettings xml file.

Hamish, I am ready to give up too....

I fried the evodroid - my fault I know, got a new cable and a new Samsung tablet. I am still waiting to get a copy of the software (I have a copy but that's not the point) and now on my new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 it works (in that it connects and logs) but I can't select any of the log items in the list....

I select them, exit out of the screen (by pressing the back button as that's the only way to do it) and when I go back in they are not ticked.

The multiple templates 'function' also doesn't work (but you know this).

You know, I am a big supporter - I am currently helping others build templates but at present I can't use the thing...

Come on, help would be nice...

Okay, I may have ranted too soon.

By entering the screen, double clicking on the data item (so that it shows as checked, then unchecked) and then exiting they stay checked....

A bit of a workaround but I am going to try it now.

PPC stands for Microsoft Windows Mobile PocketPC... that is nothing to do with Android and Evodroid7.

Ticking the dataitems on the EvoDroid7 works when I test it. sorry I don't have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 to test with, I already guessed every android device would behave differently. That's why it is best to use the included EvoDroid7.

Hamish, you are correct. I wouldn't expect it all to work with any device, my apologies.
Look on it as additional certification testing!

There are still some other issues though such as access to re download the software, maybe with a disclaimer around potential issues with different devices.
There is also the template switching.

Also it would be good tohave a known issues list.

Thanks for everything.

I look forward to the update! Would some extra money help with it ?

Has anyone got a wideband working with this?
i can get the wideband working if I use the 0-5v output but it needs to be calibrated so is way off. I have tried using the serial cable but with no luck.
