connect your ACC accessory key wire to PIN8 (and remove the loop wire) this will turn the android charger and cable on and off with your vehicle. Yes the android does suck the juice even with the key off.

yes earlier in the thread we talked about the android has to get its charge from somewhere.. and that somewhere is from the OBDII port(pin7 is the OBDII port fulltime power) or from pin8 (if you remove the loop wire) and feed it 12v from a switched source like the yellow ACC key wire that car stereos use.

Even when logged to Evoscan.com with the account that was used to order the tabled in I get 403 error on that http://www.evoscan.com/evodroid/ page. I did submit a ticket for Evodroid to be added to my account previously, I guess this wasn't done.

Just in case, I'll submit another ticket to the site.

In stock or still preorder?

Hamish,

Are the EvoDroid7s in stock or are they a pre-order item?

It's September now, but your web store still says "*** ORDER NOW FOR THE 2nd BATCH ON 17th AUGUST 2013 ***

If I were to place an order for one, will it ship quickly or be in some future shipment?

Let me know. Thanks!

That has been discussed and when he gets a chance he will release the software for use on different devices. I was waiting but I got impatient and ordered this.

Hamish is there a way to get tracking from evoscan website. I have received 2 different emails stating the unit has been shipped about a week or 2 apart but I don't have any tracking info.

I want the GTR gauge template. where can i get this?

to get the evodroid and the obdii to turn on and off with ignition:
remove the red wire loop from the pin out.
find a 12v source that turns on and off with ignition (per hamish mentioned using the radio power line) and connect to pin#7.

this way the obdi does not always draw power from the battery (pin #8).

Hi Hamish,
Got the evoDroid 7 v1.01 with evoscan v2.9 and the tactrix 3.0 DA cable. Car is 2010 US evo X MR.
Been building gauges, excited to try it out, but... cable error!

Android evoDroid application launches no problem, but the status never goes from white to yellow and simply says "Re-plug in the OpenPort cable" ... CONSTANTLY

Tried using different pin settings, different usb cable, tried it on a different 2008+ Mitsubishi, no luck. Any other way to troubleshoot the 3.0 DA cable?

Help!?!! Thank you!

Still no access to any evoscan.com Evodroid information. Is the troubleticket system even functional? I think I PM'd you Hamish as well, could this be looked at?
