Yes it does but the peak value is still there, it would be much easier if you could press the gauge like a button to have the peak value reset.

Has anyone designed any useful gauge templates for a 2014 (2011) Evo X GSR?

Just listed my EvoDroid for sale. Only used it a couple times. Just used it a few times and decided to buy a windows 8 tablet. Nothing wrong it. 1.3DA cable included. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sa...5-shipped.html

tired making gauges and logging WB02 and External boost sensor, boost doesnt show up or log as i have no external sensors under the log items?

Was there an update for this Hamish?

and my wideband only reads 10 in my logs? checked at the input and definately getting a change in volts for both boost and wideband.

I had the same issue with external sensors not showing in the list. I re-installed the software and they appeared...

Probably a stupid question, how do u re-install the software?

How did u get your wideband to read correct? Because pin 4 is for the wb02 sensor that works

Is there any particular reason why you wouldn't log boost from the ECU? That would just leave you with the wideband issue.

Email Hamish at the address that was in the box... evodroid at evoscan.com and ask nicely for the latest apk. In my case I did appear to get a later version.

because i am unsure how, i am new to all this and was just trying what i thought was the easy way. if by logging boost from the ECU you mean turn it on thru the settings on the evodroid i have tried that was comes up with the run time error.

I should warn you that it is a long chaotic learning curve not for the impatient. This is not a product that you plug in and use. No point reading the manual - there isn't one.

I suggest that you forget the wideband for the moment. You need to get it logging the ECU going first. Have you managed to log or display anything from the ECU?

I have managed to log a few things, speed rpm knock, load, air temp (after changing the logging details)
Haven't been able to get IDC as that comes up with an error aswell.

Is there anywhere u suggest reading to start getting my head around this?

Thanks for your help to.

I believe that you have an EVO 6 TME - I've seen the photos on this forum. Looks to have been modified at the time you got it and it should have had a tune. There might be some ECU mods in there that are not fully compatible the evodroid.

I'm running a Ralliart and have used Mode 23 and RaxPatch, none of which apply to your situation so I can only give some broad hints. If someone else has more direct experience please jump in.

When you say changing logging details, I am assuming that means that you are modifying the XML file which along with the fact that you are logging some things means that you are you are a long way into sorting this thing.

On issue I had was mismatches in parameter names. The names that you see in the .TXT files in the GaugeTemplates folder need to match those in the XML. I recall that in my case it was Boost in the .txt file and psi in the XML. Fix - change the parameter name in the XML.

While we are awaiting the next version of Evodroid software; Hamish says it is coming, the fact is at the moment what we have is at an early stage of development and fairly limiting. The Windows version of EvoScan, when used with openport adapters has seen a lot more development and is a lot more capable overall. I got things working in evoscan then used that information to get the droid working. For serious logging I use EvoScan on a netbook, the droid is just too slow but I can't leave a netbook on the seat beside me all the time so the evodroid gets used as an instrument panel to let me know what is happening day to day.

yes thats what i meant with the log reference in the XML didnt match what it was trying to log this was only for the air temp tho. havent looked to much more into the XML yet but i will start there and see where that gets me.

yea i have recently done some more to my TME. E85, pump and injectors so not sure if the injectors is why i am not able to log the duty cycle.

I have only been using it as a display for my speed aswell, (speedo bit temperamental atm) but thought i might aswell try use it to its full potential.

Before I am told to use the search function, I have searched far and wide for answers including emailing evodroid at evoscan. I have a USDM 2011 Evo X GSR and my evodroid7 is not functioning right:
It will not datalog. Says 'error: user menu pressed StartDatalogger'.
It also will not correctly read RPMS( reads about 170-180 when I'm idling at 800ish.
Does not read Air Temp, water temp, knock or fuel consumption. It does read tps and battery (assumably correctly)
My speed reads out in KPH not MPH. How do I change that?
When I try to switch gauge templates it reads 'swap templates not yet available in this version'
Also, if I don't have a wideband, can I still display AFRs?
Also, under the settings menu>application folder path, it says 'select path'. I take this to mean it is not set to anything..?
I hope I just need to update the software. If so, how can I go about doing that? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Rob,

You can copy your xml file Mitsubishi EvoX Mode23 USA.XML file from the windows based evoscan, and place it in your EvoScan\DataSettings\ folder on the EvoDroid7

And you can edit the EvoScan\GaugeTemplates\854x480_Carbon1.txt file to alter the LogReference to display any of the dataitems listed in the xml. ensure the spelling is correct.
