How does switching pins disable the battery in the evodroid? I want this thing to die when i turn my ignition off and come on with ignition power.
Swapping pins would simply not drain the car battery.
Quote: You can disable the battery power on any openport cable by putting the OBDII port pin16 on to ACC (key ignition power supply 12-14v) instead of BATT (battery backup fulltime 12-14v)

Good point, I will add a new feature to EvoScan for EvoDroid software, so that when the power is removed the screen will prompt "EvoDroid shutting down in 10seconds, press Cancel to stop" and when the power is put back on I will make the EvoDroid7 come back to life... how does that sound?

That sounds great.

Can we also have the template switching fixed?

Thanks...

One question:
Does it play Angry Birds?

J/k. Great work! I'm still rocking the old school GPS flasher. Works like a charm even after 3+ years.

Do we have to download updates from somewhere or does evodroid support OTA-updates?

this might be a little off topic, but id be really keen to run one of these by installing a evo 7 gta trim panel in my evo 8 like the pic here. so i have two questions: does anyone know if the evodroid will fit in this space and has anyone tried to fit this trim panel to an 8? (the existing radio/hvac panel will need to be trimmed to accommodate)

Follow up question for Hamish. My current set up is an older Erisin Android head unit like this but running Android 2.3:

http://www.erisin.com/erisin-es9001a...-ram_p468.html

If I buy the Evoidroid7 will i be able to install the software and use the cable on my Android 2.3 head unit so I can have the gauges on that screen while I look into retro fitting the 7.5 dash trim as mentioned above?

Thanks in advance.

Yes that is correct, you can do that, and it will work. with EvoDroid7 and 1.3DA it will work fine.
