It also suggests to power off/on car etc, have done that and many other combos.

Has anyone had this problem, does anyone have any advice? After almost 6 weeks of very sporadic/limited support, it's in the process of being returned tomorrow if I can't figure it out. I was really keen to get this item working... however unfortunately for whatever reason, its not working for me. :-(

I have an EVOX MR SST 2011. Are there any other options available for the EVO where I can have a similar setup to Evodroid? Ive had a look at other devices, but I'm not sure which ones are Mitsu Evo X compatible.

regards
Dev
Make sure you pick the right config file. Try a few of them that seem like they might work. The Evo X Mode 23 US one is working ok for me.

Make sure you fully exit the app and restart after you select a new config.

Make sure the loop wire is connected between pins 7 and 8. This provides 12V power to the cable.

Does anyone have an AEM UEGO with serial output working to the Evodroid? I haven't been able to get mine to work yet. I get a reading of -999 and an error about the value being out of range or something.

So now that this has been out a little while, what does everyone think about it? I'm on the fence with going this route or traditional logging, gauges, etc.

My Thoughts...

I think (hope) that this (software) will improve to include reflashing etc.

The tablet is not great but works. I get the impression that the cost of the tablet allows the R&D on the cable and software to be recouped as the cable / software is where the real power lies.

I have replaced the tablet with a Galaxy Tab and it works fine with higher resolution.

I am disappointed that the swapping between templates does not work (yet) as sometimes I would like a full layout and other times a basic layout without having to rename them to 'Carbon1'

In some ways going for traditional gauges is a better option but the Evodroid does provide a degree of flexibility.

The flashing ABS light is annoying but it is only when stopped...

That's an easy one (but not as easy as you may think :-)

It needs to be done on the template - you build a background that has a 0-200 MPH scale but the start and end values are set to 0-321.86 in the template txt file

So the template is reading KMH but is displaying MPH...

The logging will still show KMH.

Or you can change existing template by changing the line in the txt file from

CircularGauge,Speed,Speed,607,170,156,-90,240,0,240,GaugeParts\EvoScan1_Cap1.png,Yes,0,0, 800,480,255|127|80|4,No,,,,,,,

to

CircularGauge,Speed,Speed,607,170,156,-90,240,0,386.243,GaugeParts\EvoScan1_Cap1.png,Yes, 0,0,800,480,255|127|80|4,No,,,,,,,

This is a bit of a workaround but it is the same process as if you were displaying output from a 0-5v sensor
