first of all greetings to all the seniors.

i'm a newbie who is very interested in getting my first step started on how to tune my car. currently i'm driving a mitsubishi airtrek turbo. hope seniors are able to help me with some of my questions.

1.) What are the necessary items which is needed as a start? openport 2.0? evoscan? ecuflash? & any other items?

2.) Is a wideband a must? and what does it do? logging of AFR? is it ok if i were to start w/o a wideband?

3.) 1.3 cable is 1x faster then a 2.0 openport may i know is that 1x really very crucial?
i'm looking at 2.0 because it fits more car and i have more car to play with as both of my brother in laws each drive a lancer EX and Evo X and my sister a mitsubishi lancer ralliart turbo CS5
