Error when trying to flash randomly?! HELP!

So I've had the same laptop, ecuflash ect for years now. I tired flashing a new map on my car today. It was giving me an error message. It wouldn't let me write to ecu or flash to ecu. I heard my USB noise connecting, but the 2 buttons on ecu flash were grayed out!

What could this mean? My battery volt was 11.1-11.3 when trying to flash.

Your battery voltage is too low. Try starting the car and then clicking the flash icon.

Just tired that no luck. Also just put a battery charger on while trying flashing it was reading 13.6-13.8 volts still the same problem!

What battery volt does it need to be?!

It should be above 12v IIRC. I had a similar issue and turns out the flash cable did not have a secure connection from the usb plug. I resoldered the connection and all was well. So if you are certain you have enough power to flash, your cable may be the issue.

It might be the cable, i just went out and tired it again to charge the battery more. It was reading 14.6-15.2 volts on Evo Scan "so the UBS to OBDII is working fine." Still no luck getting same error code. Super weird it won't let me write from ecu or flash.

My friend not to far away had a 2.0 cable. "that little yellow plastic plug one" I tried out his. THAT WAS THE PROBLEM! My cooper inside that wire split somehow. So if your getting the low volt battery error inspect your cable!

If you have an OpenPort 2.0 and your Mitsubishi reflash adapter is damaged, you can contact us at support at tactrix dot com and we can get you a replacement. They aren't listed separately on our site so you'll need to send us an email. We redesigned them about a year ago so they are a bit more robust.
