How much timing do you 300-400whp guys run on pump gas around 25psi? On our 8 with bolt ons we can only run around 4-7deg Advance still knocking 1-4 counts, anything above this results in high knock counts.

In colder weather the car made 320HP on the dyno, but as its gotten warmer outside the car just feels weak.

Need some input or someone to check our tune thanks!

 

I run about 4-5 degrees at peak boost on 93 octane, around 24lbs tapering to about 18 psi at redline on an 05 Evo 8.

 

What kind of pump gas? On ACN 91 with a 9 turbo on my, I think I was at 1-2* at peak torque, and I think 10 or 12* out the top by increasing timing advance by 1-2* every 500 rpm as knock count allowed. My car had 0 knock..

 

The answer really depends on the mods and target afr. On Stock cams & 9 turbo with target afr of 11.7 at peak I was around 3* and 11.3 out the top with 13*. With S2's with 9 turbo I could only run 1* with 11.7 afr at peak and 10* with 11.0 out the top. I haven't gotten to dial it in again with the addition of the 71hta. When I do I'll give you some more feedback.
