Opinions on Fuel/Timing maps

The “fully tuned timing maps” post died out years ago, I’d like some opinions.

This is the tune my car is currently running on.
Stock block 8 93 octane Stock injectors
Stock intake tube with open filter
MBC set to 18.5 for now
Kelford 272
10.5T Turbo from an 05
ARP studs
O2 Dump and ETS tubular manifold
Catless 3” turbo back
94170715 Rom on V7 Tephra

(Area highlighted in fuel map for no reason)

transitions are too sharp. ex. it jumps from 9 to 13* for no reason. The cam is pretty big so this probably doesn't follow the trend in VE.
Didn't mention what turbo so I have no idea what the air temp or flow rate is going to be in those areas. Kind of need that information.

needs a little plateau for cruise timing regions with a slope on all sides

For the fuel map why are there values below 10? Or 11 for that matter. Most 18psi 93 octane 2L engines run well between 11.0 and 11.5

I'm not used to that computer so forgive me if the difference is made up somewhere else.

2005 10.5 turbo. The fuel map I haven’t touched, using Tephra V7 and 94170715 ROM. (Added to post)

The timing thread is still relevant and I like to refer to it still. Your map is too aggressive in my opinion but your log will tell the tale. Anyway I try not to jump more than 3 degrees between cells.

I assume you mean 3 degrees left to right? What about the cruise table area, a lot of maps I’ve seen have a big jump around vacuum/boost transition. Both maps are supposedly stock aside from minor adjustments for the cams.

Aggressive surely isn't the word I would use for that map.

Timing does need A LOT of help though. Transitions are terrible. Needs smoothed, 1-3 degrees at peak torque up 12-14 at 7k is a good place to start. Watch the knock.

Thanks everyone for the advice, I’ll work on the timing and try to post up logs. Should I leave the fueling as is? It’s fairly rich

Do you have a wideband? We can't necessarily help you with the fuel map because it may be fine depending on how you scaled the injectors. 9.0 on the map might not be 9.0 on the wideband. Not everyone aligns the map to real world numbers but it does make it easier.

I do have one, aem x series. I plan on wiring it to the ECU for logging. I’d like to do the same for the boost gauge if I can figure it out. AFR was ~10.62 at 18.50-19psi today WOT. I’ll have logs soonish. Injectors are stock scaled to 513.
