Engine sputter wondering if its fuel
Engine sputter wondering if its fuel
I have had my evo 8 tuned, but have never been able to hit full boost or floor it. The engine sputters. I fixed all the boost leaks and still have the same problem.
So i have decided to invest in a tactrix and have been looking at my tune. I have only fixed my idle and don't want to adjust the fuel or timing tables without getting my afr gauge working properly.
The problem I see is that from 140 load to 350 (max) the fuel cells are all set to 11.0
I was wondering if this is normal or should it be varied throughout and have lower values.
Also boost is supposed to be up to 27 psi stock 9 turbo never have hit 27 most I've hit is 25.
Mods:
GSC S2 cams
1050 injectors
255 walbro
evo 9 turbo
stm uicp
aftermarket intercooler unknown brand
downpipe
arp head studs

Focus on getting your WBO2 working, and logging with EvoScan, before you try to tune. The information you need is all in this site.
Get Merlin's Tuning guide and read and research the tuning process for a few weeks before diving in.
When you change anything in your tune, log and review the results carefully. Take baby steps until you know what is going on.
It took me three years of practice and a couple of rebuilds before I felt confident in what I was doing.

I'm not planning on changing the tune without the wbo2 working and logging I have been looking at the forum of fully tuned timing maps and theirs seem to change like a wave while mine is stagnant after load 140.
