Changed to 96530006 and now cant communicate with ACD?!
I have an 05 that i changed from the 96940011 ROM to the 96530006 to use the map switching feature. I recently had the 3 dreaded lights come on for my ACD. I took it to the dealer so they could pull the codes and they said they were not able to communicate with the ACD at all and my car was showing a Euro Rom. Now i know the 96530006 is the Euro ID but would this change how they communicate with the ACD? Could possibly some of the definitions be messed up?

Their MUT tool is probably just confused by the non-USDM ROM you're running; while technically the ROM ID doesn't matter when it comes to ACD comms (you don't have to communicate with the ECU to establish ACD communication), the OEM tools probably won't deal well with it, because they base most of their behavior on the ROM ID you're running.
You might want to flash back to 96940013 (the latest '05 USDM release, to the best of my knowledge) or 96940011 (which might have more complete EcuFlash definitions, if you need to make changes) for the duration of your work with the dealership, then flash back to your current ROM when you're done with them.
Note that there's a good chance that their tools may automatically flash over whatever ROM you're running when you bring it in (and if not automatically, then by force-of-habit by the operator: ie. they just keep clicking "Ok"). Always have a backup of your ROM before going to the dealership.

Thanks for the info!! I definitely backed up my rom prior to taking it there. I just mainly wanted to see if it was still under warranty as well as what code it was showing. Unfortunately my build date of 5 years expired 2 months prior so that killed the warranty idea. I have the three lights and with the throttle down the pump runs, and pulls fluid, but I do not hear a change in sound that I guess you should once pressure is built up. I am assuming that the pump it just shot at this point.
I didnt think the ROM ID mattered either since the ACD has it's own ECU but I just wanted to make sure there weren't some definitions in the ROM that could have been incorrect and causing them not to be able to connect.
