V7 load vs PSI boost

hey all,

Currently car is set up for load based boost and I wanted to switch to PSI.
I'm using Omni 4 bar and ROM 96530706, 93 octane

I noticed that my AEM boost gauge reads much higher when on PSI(31 spike), however psi. evoscan log shows no higher then 27 @ peak.

I'm running the same WGDC pictured below on PSI and Load.

I have a feeling the gauge is correct based on feel of car.

I triple checked all boost related tables set to
PSIa8 OMNI4barMAP
Global tables all set to correct boost hex values

I'm guessing I'm missing something, my logs are also not showing
WGDC Correction and Boost Error.

evoscan setup:

Log:

WGDCCorr BoostError 0 3.75275

Your Boost Error Correction table is currently zeroed out, so the "Boost Desired Engine Load (PSI)" table will have no effect at all on the boost.
Your boost will be controlled now by your WGDC table, which is odd looking.

Your boost error correction output *should* be zero with the table zeroed out.

Duh on my part for BEC being 0 and logging 0.
3rd gear is what I'm testing with.

What looks odd about WGDC?, I'm testing in 3rd gear.

Also, I was under the impression that zeroing out Max Total Upward WGDC Correction vs TPS would force the ECU to follow WGDC.
That's not happening.

Take a look @ log. WGDC strays from Main Map Wastegate Duty.

Just did another test with tables as follows:
Following tables ALL zeroed out:

Boost Desired Engine 'PSI'
Boost Adder (PSI)
Boost Error Correction (PSI)
Max Total Upward WGDC Correction vs TPS( I was under the impression that zeroing out this table would force ECU to run WGDC definition)

Main Map Wastegate Duty 3rd gear

2000 100
2250 100
2500 86.5
2750 78.5
3000 66.5
3250 63
3500 58
3750 58
4000 58
4500 58
5000 58

What does your WGDC vs. Air Temp table look like?

wasn't logging Air temp. will do on next test. I'm done for today.
I reloaded an older ROM and flashed it. She's not over boosting anymore with the same Main WGDC values.
I can get it to not overshoot 26 psi.

I'll report back in the AM.

It appears from your log that the datalogged WGDC is almost the opposite of your WGDC settings in the table, almost as if the table was 180* upside down. Almost as if "Flip Y' was checkmarked in the table definitions.

I didn't see the "Y" box checked marked on MAF IAT WGDC Correction.

made another run.

Not sure why Evoscan is not picking up Boost Error and WGDCCorr?

Only good thing is that I'm not over boosting anymore.
3rd gear is set to
26
26.5 from 3500 - 4500
26 til end

He's referring to the WGDC table, not MAF IAT table.

Are you using the same rom ID for both load and psi testing? Are the wgdc rpm values the same in each hex file? Meaning do both start with 2000? Just trying to rule out simple mistakes...

I know you said you checked, but what about boost adder scaling? (OMNI4BAR...) My scalings were all over the place in my downloaded "default" rom.

tunah

ROMS are same. I'll check WGDC Flip.
What's the correct value?

Flip X, Y or Swap XY

The xml definition on my work computer has Swap XY checked for the Data Values on the orig RomID tab (the right tab). But Im using 9417, and assume it should be the same for other RomIDs.

Quadruple check any and all tables that relate to psi boost to make sure your scaling is correct. My first try at this had me hitting 30psi also. The boost adder is what got me.
