when i patched my rom, i initially had it edited to only reduce BWGDC but went back to the stock values.
if i recall correctly, rich said you can rescale the temperatures if you want to fine tune it.

FYI...

Those defaults were put together using test data from a number of Ralliarts - so stock 2-port active BCS, no passive BCS.

Owners with a 3-port BCS would probably find the default adjustments way over the top.

Feel free to post up your revised table values, plus any observations from your logging that prompted the revisions, eg. summer/winter boost levels...

Cheers,

Rich

I have been using the IAT BWGDC for over 6 months and I changed the temps to 19 degrees, 40, 60, 80, and 100. I have it set up like this (in degrees F):

19 - 0
40 - 0
60 - 1
80 - 2
100 - 3

The patch works great.

Your table is a percent increase and 3-ports use just over half the WGDC that the stock 2-ports do, so it's all good.

Well...

It's NOT a "percent OF BWGDC".

It's just plain BWGDC. Which is a percent.

Putting it another way, it's additive/subtractive, not a multiplier.

Keep in mind that the ECU does interpolate the values in the map. So for you at 75 degrees, even though you have 0 in there, it will probably actually be at 1% increase, then around 88 degrees (halfway in between 75 and 100) it will increase it to 1.5%, then around 95 degrees it will be 2% increase.

I have done hours and hours of logs that confirms it works this way

Oops. I may need to rethink the 3-port's use of this map. Or get someone to log at the extreme temps.

When the temps go up to 85-90 plus, it will make you overboost a few psi after each shift depending on what you have set in the map.

I had to lower the values for that reason

Hey Rich,

Just bought a 2012 USDM MR a few weeks ago. I used this on my old GSR and loved it. Do you plan to do the RAX patch for 58020005?

I have the Grimmspeed 3 Port...

I went out and set my WGDC on a very hot day, IATs reading right around 112°F, and then got a chance to go out recently on one of the cooler summer days we've had, IATs reading exactly 84°F. I had to drop almost all the WGDC values by 1.5% to match the same boost curve.

I'll have to wait until the weather is consistently cooler to more accurately set the lower temps, but I left the WGDC map I ended with at 84° in the map and came up with this...seems to be working out well so far..
