got mine dynoed at tunin tech a couple days ago. my evo 8 made 444hp and 368 tq on 91+meth at 21-22psi. had a problem the failsafe triggering during the tune. alfred found the problem, it was the the boost bypass valve. been having a problem with my meth kit and will be switching over to aquamist as sugested by alfed. going for another tune in about 2 weeks ,and hoping everything goes good
Those are some wicked numbers kid

will have dyno graph of my 03 evo8 with fp red on shortly....
car is at tuning tech in colton,ca
goin with built 2.0 block je pistons eagle rods acl race bearings arp main rod and head studs, supertech valve train, 5 angle valve job with stock valves, fp red, balanceshaft eliminator kit, 1 step colder spark plugs, aem wideband(i know no performance mod there), + what i have on already xs engineering fmic and piping, 880 injectors, walbro pump, hks 272 i&e cams, full 3" turboback exhaust including 02 housing, hks ssq bov, dejon tool....
anyone think with these mods i should be able to break 400awhp on a dynojet, on just 91 cali octane?

so, right now i'm running a stock turbo setup with a few bolt-ons and stock internals (minus carillo rods). i havn't looked into the FPRed turbo yet but I like what I see with the powerbands on these dynoes. What would be a good setup for one? Header, 02 Housing, ect.?
I'm looking to make 400whp max with a steady curve up to around 6,800.. I'm not looking for a crazy power car. It looks like this turbo is pretty good lag wise too??

I have an E85 station less than five miles from my house so any turbo upgrade will have it in the equation. In the near term, the stock IX turbo/E85 combination is working wonders. I do not want to have to buy a double pumper to run the FP Red so I've basically gone away from even considering it as an option. The reason being is that IMO the FP Red has to run on higher boost levels with either E85 or race gas for it to come to life. I just don't think a FP Red on pump gas would be more exciting than the stock IX turbo/E85 combination. I'm open to comments and feedbacks from different perspectives. Thanks!

Manny, I see your point. Seriously, when are you hitting full boost? Also, I see what your Red held at 7800 but I won't be in that area until after my Kelford 272s with springs and retainers are installed. I'm wondering (someone please chime in) if 1200cc injectors would work in lieu of the double pumper.

I've read through every post thus far in this thread. Over this weekend, I've also read through a couple hundred posts about the BBK Full and Lite turbos as well. I'm one that's tinkering on the fence still undecided about which route is best. On the Mustang dynos, I'm seeing that the average is roughly 369-466whp with roughly 330-378wtq and on Dynojet dynos the average is roughly 376-466whp and 367-415wtq. And when E85 is/was used, it was roughly 470whp and 415wtq. I understand that there are many, many, variables when comparing numbers but to me it's nice to see just to get a general feel of how the FP Red is stacking up on normal day-to-day EVOs. It was/is nice to see some of you going away from the double pumper route as it was a concern of mine and an expense I wasn't too thrilled to make. There was also talk about upgrading the stock ignition system. Would the HKS ignition upgrade suffice? Thanks.
