opinions please :)

Hey guys just got tuned by Mark at TTR (great guy, great tuner) but i think my car itself should have made more power

340.76whp 328.72ft/lb (Run Conditions: 101.55 F / 29.84in/Hg / Humidity 22%)

mods

Injen Intake
Injen UICP
Injen LICP
Evo 9 Turbo
FP 18psi wastegate
Kelford 272/272
ETS 3.5" front mount
Walbro 255
TTR MBC
PTE 780cc injectors
NGK BPR8ES
APR Headstuds
Helix cat-back
DC downpipe w/ catdelete
Stock plastic 8 valve

I would have thought my car would have made in the neighberhood of 360whp

nothing would please me more than to blame it on the plastic valve and the 101 degree tuning weather

what do you guys think

I'm shocked after all that modding your didn't upgrade to at least a evo IX bov. How much boost were you running? I'd be curious to see the car dyno 15-20 degrees colder with a stock IX bov. Have any videos of the runs or of the kelfords idling?

i agree with you 100% i had a crushed nine valve but it seemed to cause more problems than solve.

i didnt get it on the dyno, but i could get video of the car idling, its nasty

id say u should be in the 350s (whp) but with much higher torque. But without a doubt change out that crappy dv. I had a IX dv on my evo which was leaking...we crushed it and it picked up 30whp! Not saying this will be the case for you but your number seem slightly low.

Update

i changed the stock plastic valve for a crushed 9 vavle and OH MAN the car feels like a beast.

i was at about 25 psi before i changed, as soon as i mashed the gas after the nine valve was installed, the psi went over 30(i cant tell you were it stopped, my guage only goes till 30)

i back the boost down to 25 again and the car feels like a frieght train. A completely different car.

heres my question, do i need a retune now?

i just dumped a **** ton of money getting this car how it is i cant afford a retune. and i highly doubt TTR will just retune me for free......

Sounds good man, i'm happy you changed out to the IX valve. If you can post up a vid of the kelfords idling. I know theirs some out there but another quality video can't hurt.

Nothing against TTR but you def could have figured out other ways of getting it tuned for cheaper with great results and not be needing a retune that's 400 bucks.

Set it for what they tuned it for. Just without a leaking BOV.....
