Tobz is the pump maxed out or is it maxing out the injectors? If so have you considered the duel feed lines for it?

Whats cams are you running?
I wasn't talking about gas. The 2.3L can't rev like the 2.0's. The more RPM's you can hold your peak the faster the car is going to run. I am sure the car pulls hard based on the dyno numbers, it just doesn't pull that hard for very long. Sure you can add more fuel and more PSI but it won't change how high the 2.3L can rev.

Who cares, it's his car, his decision on parts, not yours

Moving on!! Josh, with all this new nasty power, would you say your evo is finally built, given a few tweaks to get the most out of the new set up?

What have you done to upgrade trans/clutch? Do you have any worries about holding this kind of power on your current set up?

Early on in the testing the car was only being reved to 7K. Tobz asked me how high can he rev it to, since it was my motor he was being polite and I said wrap that biotch out to 8500. See how good of a motor it really is. So if the results are showing them letting off early I would not worry to much cause the few times I do get on it I will wrap her out....trust me.

Jeff,

The car is fully built as is the tranny. Remember I broke reverse a long time ago and had to drive around with no reverse for like a month. You were at the big red rocks meet weren't you? The car would grind real bad in reverse.

I didn't publish the results for all to see and open a thread to comment on it. Josh did. IF he wants me to move on then he can close the thread. You right it's his choice to pick the parts, since the info is on a forum to discuss evo's and in a section on dyno results, everyone gets to read all the positive and negative comments.

Sorry I am not excited, guess I don't see what everyone else sees, especially when you consider the costs. What ever happened to bang for your buck?

Jeff, he didn't mention the clutch but I know Josh has an upgraded TC and Tranny from Jack. Unless his front diff goes I doubt he will have any trouble putting it down.

Get the car back on the dyno and put up the numbers to shut me up , I would be happy to see another path that leads to high performance and I am sure Josh would too.

Yup, step-dad. All BS aside, your car looks pretty sick.

I do watch over my car. I never take it out cause I feel one you guys may vandalize my car. So I just take it certain places and that's it. I drive in the far right lane, just cruising every where. I never really get on it anymore for fear of getting caught for speeding and being sent back to jail.
That's too bad. I secretly hope that you do go back to jail.............those posts from the "inside" had me crackin' up every time.

He's been there once, he'll go back again, it might just be as a conjugal visit for Bubba though.

im very suspect of the motor for sure and i really dislike the color red but i have to admit his evo does look pretty clean flows nice. once he gets the motor right its will be a nice peace for sure. Josh have your considered getting Voltrex Front bumper Cyber street. Looks extremely better with the cf splitter for sure. I think it would flow awsome with your exterior setup.

I don't get it, why does Josh have to prove anything to you? His car put down 530whp on his first real tune since it's been broken-in, and he's not even done with the build. You want to see a path to hi performance, what's your benchmark for a hi performance? And what experience do you have with building, tuning or driving built Evo's I'm really interested...

On the graph he revved to 7100 and the 2.3 can do 8500 for drag and 7800 ish for street. Clearly there is more revs ot be had. Peak power at 5100 isn't that high for a big turbo like this. On a lot of stock turbo's peak power isn't till 4700. If he had a 2.0 the only different would be more lag and more revs, in the end when your shifting gears your still in the power band with either one.
