Well......you kind of called it in your post. I do have a wife (who is not into the car scene........thinks a vehicle is only good for getting you from point A to point B) and 2 kids, with one on the way. So, needless to say money is tight and I have to be sensible with my purchases. I am the frugal evo owner.......but I still somehow manage to get things done.

 

dang dude wow thats strong if the evo is not paid off you might be parting ways with it 3 kids no time for fun lol

 

See with me I get a nice chunk of cash form the Navy for school and I have used a lot of it for the car. Not all of it. Plus I get disability for the rest of my life from the VA due to my injury when I was in the Navy. So that helps out also. But I also have a new born and a wife.

I have had to take out two small loans to pay for some stuff. The first was for the old 35R that I had and that is paid off and then recently I had to take out a new loan after getting stabbed in the back by the shop I was going to. But that one is almost paid off too.

I also don't have 3 kids like Denver does but I will cause the wife is pushing me to knock her up again. Not that it that hard on my part but still she wants a new baby and wants it right when I am getting out of school, so Feb 2011 she wants another one or two.

Rock, If your here in town let me know. I won't come get you if you are far and besides the Evo will be on blocks by then but if you get a rental which I suggest you do then we can meet up.

Do you Board or ski. Cause if you do we can go up for the day and go boarding if your in town long enough.

 

lol you will have to come get me i dont know exactly where but shop is in denver working out the details so ill let you know but nope never skied or boarded in my life dude lol i live in the south LOL think about it. I would not mind trying it as its something new its always fun to see new things place new culture and food etc. see how the other side live you know. Man 1 kid is this economy is enough its already tight and getting worse two kids is just mayham but i tell you what one you did most of your modding before you had a family it seems brings me to my point its easy to mod if you dont have to worry about others. hints the fact y im single for now just to much stuff going on and i like the house all the cars come and go as i please and not having to hear any b!tching. I can use it and tell them to bounce or just keep to myself when i do a car build for my shows i go all out and im focused on that mostely.

 

See my wife is pretty cool with my car, she hates it but let's me do whatI want. on top of that, my next car needs to be an automatic so she can drive it. She told me she wants a Supra so who am I to stand in her way. I just told she can drive it if she thinks she can handle 1000+ HP which if I ever get one it will be.....LOL I could see that know. my wife smoking me in the Evo.>WTF

 

Lol only problem is that supra's are two seaters. If your going to have two kids that won't work out very well lol.

Get her an r35.

 

supra are pretty much all hype dude. i seen 600 hp supra killed by 450 hp evos. not to mention after about 600 supra are super unreilable. Its all in the name just like r34s its just the mistique if you feel me. I was going to get a supra to add to my collection but after seen price for parts and seen people over 600 hp just loose control etc did not seem worth it to drive only for shows etc and i dont build trailor queens down here. the r35 is not all that dude. once i get my Z done ill smoke it but my Z sits at the dealership next to a r35 and what do people look at more the Z granted the price tag does not help things but the Z is getting up there in price since im constantly adding parts to it and the evo has to keep up. the cf parts and nice glossy chromies make the Z stand up to the big r35 lol. Next up for evo motor build and Z complete rockforte fostgate sound system and jvc tv/dvd/bluetooth/nav/ipod etc

 

Ok sorry I just had to chime in when I saw the "R34's are just mistique" I hope we're not talking GTR's here?? I dunno what youre on bud??? I have driven a few in my time and without doubt hands down amazing.. the pure power and stability is awesome... as for the R35 vs the Z.... well the two should never be in the same sentance let alone conversation. As you said the big chromies make people look, well that in a nutshell tells me what they know about cars....... absolute JACK!!!!

 

ok so just cause people like rims down south they dont know anything about cars yeah whatever. Majority of people unless you happen to know somebody that has one will never get to drive a r35 not like you can test drive them. if you like overpaying for a car then i can see y you like skylines. i never said my Z right now competes with the r35 i said my z sits next to one on the dealership lot. its all to bring the buyers in close to the building so the salesmen can do there thing. btw a Z is a bad *** car your not even giving it its due credit but thats cool.

 

If you think a Supra is a waste of money then you really bought the wrong car in a Z. Z's cost a lot more to make the same power and they are way less reliable than a Supra at any power level. I have MANY friends with Supras and several on stock motors making 500-700+whp. A 350Z will never touch 700whp stock motor. Also the Z is just as rwd and hard to control at insane power levels as a Supra. I will never pay 30K for a 20yr old carwith 100k miles but a Supra is a GREAT car. Also any rwd car will lose on street tires to a lower power awd car that is lighter unless they are running some beefy *** tires. Worlds fastest stock transmission and rear end Supra runs 7.81 in the 1/4 still stock unibody! Also worlds fastest standing mile car! Also there are Supras making 1700+whp! Awesome car. The GT-R is just amazing as well and no 350Z will ever compete.

hmmm stock motor when did that come into the conversation. nobody ever said supras cant make that power fact is there are several that i seen at shows etc in the 1000 hp range. did i say stock for stock no mods they can compete nope never came out my mouth. I actually like the motor supras have if you willing to pay supras price tag then thats you not me. the Z will require a built motor if your shooting for numbers. I never been about high horse power cars personally. we are not going to get into rwd vs awd blah blah blah. i have seen the video on the worlds fastest supra like most but again another person not giving the Z any respect but its cool.

these numbers seem really low for this turbo. I have a Peakboost GT30R kit tuned with a AEM EMS at AMS, and at 31 psi on 93 octane it made 546.3 whp and 504 ft lbs. This is on a STOCK BLOCK, STOCK head with Buddy Club 264/272 cams, and only other mods being a Snow performance methanol, Trust t1-r exhaust, RC 1000cc injectors, AMS fuel rail, and XS engineering front mount intercooler. That turbo can EASILY make 630-650 hp.

 

I'd take the R34......just because it is a panty dropper.
