The information about the rods above is interesting.

I'm not sure about a rod failing from ultimate load though. To me, I wouldn't be surprised if rods often fail due to excessive deformation causing oil clearances to close up too tight.

FWIW, steel is about 80% stiffer then titanium.

those rods look like they are from e-bay. is that what you are doing? buying used F1 rods and machining them for use in the 4g63? I considered doing this. would love to hear a 4g63 at 14,000 rpm.

We use 4 and 5 disc clutches very small diameter. Carbon or sintered.

question: whats the advantage of having small clutch disks when it comes to higher pwr applications like this?

Your an idiot....Dynapacks are EXTREMELY accurate because there's no wheel spin on high HP cars. The Dynapack are probably one of the best if the THE best dyno's on the planet.

+1.

but they are easy to manipulate numbers with ratio and CF changes (which are shown), and 6/8/10/12 second runs (which are hidden) etc

Thanks ETS_Michael, u2, keep us cold (intercooled)

Dynos are a tuning machine, a base to see if the future tuning is better than the last.
Compare before the tune and then.
Nothing more nothing less. The dyno that shows less than another type of dyno is not the true dyno, and the oposite.
So mustang is not better than dynojet or dynojet is not better than dynapack or rototest etc. Are only tools. I ve test for 13 years, most of the known dynos all over the world. Car and bike and engine dynos. The operator is the 80% responsible that makes the dyno real not the machine it self.

For me the best dyno for tune is the dynos that involved less parts between the engine and the measuring points. Traction and tires are the worst nightmare for real and acurate machine. REPEAT is the word that these machines cant have. I have made tests and tests i can open a new topic for dynos because there are many things and tests to post. Eatch dyno run when the ambient temperature and other variables are the same, every next dyno run must exactly same like the last. Ive done tests from 200hp to 1300hp to dynapack and yes its working. Every minor change i make to the tune showing directly to the diagram. U cant have this thing to a machine with drums.

As for the run time as I see a post before me it's not a way to cheat it's a way to make the road simulation corect. If the car with 1400kgrm weight wants 10secs from 2000rpms till 9000rpms to the road, if the dyno u put from 10 sec and above I ensure that to a turbocharged cars u won't see even 1 horsepower more. Also MAHA dynos uses twice ramp times from normal. Why they don't show double horsepower?
It's the operator that makes the dyno true or not.
I've setup my dyno based to factory anounced power at same rpms using no filters and using the new ISO corection formula

Coming later the lightest-better piston
