Is the torque curve represented in the graph typical of what one should expect with a Red? Torque peak is to the right of 5500 RPM.

Surge for sure. I am looking at getting the 84mm housing now. When I got my red, there wasnt any bigger housing.

You will still get surge in 5th with the 80mm but it is MUCH more tolerable

Evolved I think Evilution on our local board has the the upgraded housing and still experiences compressor surge. Its probably not as bad though.
