Stock Turbo Junior Tuned FTW

Finally! Had the chance to go up to the shop today in CT to get tuned. I wanted to keep the tune a tad on the safe side considering I would like to some HDPE events and this is my DD. Car is on 93 octane and I am very happy with Juniors tune, in fact the numbers are unexpected. He mentioned this is one of the stronger ix's he tuned yet. I do need him to straighten out some quirks though. Big thanks to The Shop, Junior, and Mike@AWD for the great price in parts. This is a Dyno Dynamics with a 1.2 CF! Comments welcomed...

I know! Numbers look damn good but I knew I had the right choice in parts. 390 was my thought as well but this car also made 330/297 on DTM's mustang dyno from the previous owner with just filter, hfc, dp, and cbe. In fact I am sure cleverusername the previous owner can vouche for this car. Junior actually pulled some timing to keep it super safe otherwise the tq would have been up there too.

Boost plot is on one of the graphs. Around 25-26 psi.

Nice power man. The peak TQ is a little lower than some Ive seen, but its a flat and steady curve for a stock turbo. Congrats

How much they charge over there for a tune?

415...from a stock turbo...on 93? Am i the only one shocked by this? I mean you've got the right supporting mods and great cam choice etc...but I've seen this setup 100 times and 380whp is not even typical...it's high. I mean your over 400whp after 7200rpms also...I dont think I've ever seen a stock turbo hold anything past 375ish after 6500 rpms...they just lose the efficiency. Am i missing something??

Impressive results. Power looks smooth. You can't go wrong with a junior tune and theshopct mechanic work. They both make for a great combination.

I knew I was gonna get questioned on the numbers, in fact I am shocked like I stated on my first post. If you look E-SPEC tuned a ix with no cams, stock ecu, stock bottom end on a DJ and made 400/388. The car feels strong as hell and according to Jr. its one of the stronger ix's he has tuned. He aslo mentioned my parts combo was a good setup. I will be willing to do some pulls on another dyno if someone is wants to pay for it LOL>

As fas as the TQ being flat he tuned it that way. Like I said I wanted a broad curve and slightly milder tune. Afr's up top are 10.9 so its typically on the safer side.

Ah ha I knew someone would question the validity of the hp. Well along with Eric picking my brain for about a year now, asking Jimmy at The Shop, Junior what can be done, and Eric choice in parts...I'm not too surprised. I've see Junior tune evo 9's with basic bolt ons and no cams and he was able to make 360-380. Now Eric went with GSC S2 cams and I think 880's injectors. 25-26psi on pump isn't crazy, but I think it comes down to Eric bringing Junior a great combo of parts to tune.

The Shop, JuniorTune, and Eric FTW!
