EVO9, E74 and why you need a fuel tester
GM performance tuning puts it ALL on the table for flex fuel vehicles with their software. You can tune for closed and open loop and the % of effect ethanol mapping has on the tables.. All of the flex fuel tables have their own seconday tables for IAT, ECT, ect. Basically everything is right there in front of you and fully adjustable. Closed loop feedback is also setup to run a leaner lambda equivelant from the factory as well if I remember correctly..I am trying to get our 11 second denali setup for ETH and run some more boost but at that point its useless without full slicks. A full flex fuel tune is possible on theese vehicles even with insane mods.

That's super cool, is that with HP Tuners or something else?
The SCT software for the Mustangs is CRAZY loaded with options for things like ethanol, turbo charging, supercharging, E85 etc. The amount of tables that are there to just enable and use are nuts. It makes me wonder how many things Ford has done and tried on the engines that we don't know about yet.
hey david, just received my tester.
sorry for the dumb question but what line do i fill it up with water to? the very first one at the bottom where the label starts or the other line before the % start?
I know i know...very dumb question but I couldnt really find any info on this tester and its my first time ever using/seeing one of these. im about to go suck some fuel out of my gas tank with a hose lol so would only like to do it once.

after 5 minutes.

it was at 85%
after 10 minutes.

dropped down to 80%
whats the recommended wait time? i guess wait it out till it hits the lowest point?
great tester, ill be testing the fuel every time i fill up now. thanks for the fast shipping david

Excellent, yep you've got E80 there. It will settle completely eventually, kind of cool actually. The more you shake it the longer it takes to settle but I think the results are better by giving it a good shaking, reminds me of a pecker! hahaha

first try, i shook the **** out of it. it looked really weird. there was the clear at the top then a thick white foam in the middle and cloudy water at the bottom. thought i did it wrong so tried again. second time i didnt shake as much and the results looked better
its my toast stand lol

Figured that would go well with your custom toast test tube holder.
That's pretty nifty how simple it is to check, definately going to be one of the first things I buy when I get back stateside.
