Now maybe im mistaken but I thought his was done for the record only not to run it at this level at the track. I never saw/heard Mikey saying he is going to the track at this level to make a 9 second run. Correct me if im wrong boss

Also something that has not be talked about is yes this is a DD car but the amount of money spent on parts labor etc alone is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay beyond what the average evo owner is going to spend on there car. the 5k LR2.4 and 600+ dollars Custom made cams gives that away.
I actually plan to go to the shoot out this year. I don't think I'll be make 750whp passes. I'll start at 675whp and get a feel and if the car is doing what I want I will turn it up. However, on the track the turbo will surely **** parts everywhere at 750whp with the acceleration effects on the turbo oil feed. The thrust bearings will be toast after the car gets through 3rd.

It is quite a bit more thank 5k for my LR2.4... It's actually more like 8500 just for my short block... I have spent about 22-25k for my motor/drivetrain at English Racing, we looked that up yesterday actually... That is all that needs to be said. My setup is only limited by my turbo choice.

I think the only off the shelf part on my car is... My kiggly HLA My pistons are now going to be offered off the shelf by Wiseco due to the increasing demand of people going LR2.4s.

Thanks Rock. Can't wait to see what your 2.4 puts down!

Mikey

I know exactly how much your lr2.4 cost boss remember you told me. i was just commenting on the shortblock lol. I think the average full build is in your 20k-25k region i know im right there with you. I really enjoy all the custom parts on your car as you know im a 1 off ***** and enjoy the hate for real means your doing something right. your next step should be clean up duty get the evo looking baller to go with this baller motor cant wait to see what your crazy mind comes up with.

Mikey's motor complete as is retails for 8100. Then you still need a Turbo, fuel system, exhaust, Magnus, Intercooler and piping, Intake, installs, midget tune, etc. Stuff adds up quick.

[quote=razorlab;9003862]Mikey I wouldn't worry too much about the UK guys, they thought 400whp needed built motors until the last year or so because their tuners liked too much timing (tm).

74X whp on the ER dynojet is still around 65X whp on a proper mustang dyno (and probably around the same on a proper DD) which is nothing to shake a stick at.[/quote

Never seem 1 real d.d read accurately!!They go up and down like a fat person in weight.

so where is the "everyday boost" plot? the first plot was 40psi "1x full tilt" pull and the second was 18psi pump gas "low boost" pull, but there isnt a "everyday boost" pull...

Mikey
It's not about "hating" it's about questioning how you achieved something that has raised the eyebrows of so many. I see it's come out that you have something very custom in many ways. Kudos for pushing the limits of what is currently known

Your not the first to get called out and you won't be the last. That's how tuning evolves

I think the issue is not with the Dynojet numbers but rather with people from other parts of the world trying to relate their numbers...

Dyno's are just measuring intruments and I guess the Numbers are the Numbers.

So rather than trying to discredit Mikey - guys should just go run their cars on the same dynojet or figure out the differnce in readings from the dyno's in their countries vs. this Dynojet...

Peace out!

Sal

good investment hell no its not lol could get another car or downpayment for a house or something thats a good investment. Cars are not investments boss LOL. most people that come up with 8100 in there bank account would not buy such a thing. now if you break it down like example 5k for shorty and 3k for the head and you buy it that way does not seem as bad or rather your masking spending 8100. if i spend 5k in 6 months then another 3k in 6 months breaking down payments i can deal with that but to just give anybody 8100 straight up is not good for your heart lol.
