Hey guys,
I was wondering how the car would react to running the stock turbo on a FP Red tune? My Red is going to be sent this week for a rebuild and I'll be installing a stock turbo so I can use the car in the mean time. I don't want to get a tune for stock turbo since I'll be getting the Red back within a few weeks. Therefore I was wondering if it would it be dangerous to go WOT on the stock turbo with a FP Red tune?
Thanks in advance

turn down the boost and drive it like a normal car, please post the results, meaning, how much and what they had to do to rebuild your red, as mine is acting up a little and i think i'm right behind you !! gl luck

its going to shift the load curve up since the red is laggier then the stock turbo, therefore the timing map will need redone and the fuel map as well of course since it will run leaner from just the additional airflow along with the load shifting as well.
how long are you driving with it like this?

Why don't you just do an open source tune. There's plenty of maps you could grab with stock turbos.

Yea I would say just turn the boost down a bit and take it easy for the couple weeks if you don't want to get a retune...or if you have a data cable you could do a couple logs and post them up, I'm sure one of the tuners/knowledgeable people on here can help you out.
Thanks alot for the info, guys! I'll just stay out of boost till I get back the red.

I kinda have the opposite situation as I went from an OS Green to a 64mm Red and I am still running the tune for my Green. I just figure that I'll keep boost under 23# until I get a retune.

Hmmm. This thread is probably gonna get moved over to Evo Engine, Turbo & Drivetrain as it lacks the required dyno plot.
