Almost all the cars we do have S2s in them. Having done quite a few S2/Black combos with a similar tune strategy I can see these pick up in the mid range though over the S2. Again I dont think these are for everybody, I strongly suggest either a Black and bigger (35R) or a 2.3 or 2.4 to really take advantage of them.

what do you think the difference would be power wise if it was tuned with the stock maf instead the SD conversion?

25whp or so.

We have done a few tests on 480whp cars that pick up 30whp from getting rid of the MAF and small intake. I'd tend to think that that it works both ways around 500whp.

I'm having some pretty annoying issues with my evo 8. Ive got s2's, garrett 5031E, all the bolt ons and E85. My car idles fine once warmed up. But every time i start the car it wants to die. i have to hold the throttle to keep it from dying. Not only that but once it is warmed up and idling fine it might randomly die coming to a stop or the rpms will drop really low. It also does this when parking and turning the wheel. Oh and I am running a MAF. Could that be causing all of this? Any input would be greatly apprecited.

TIA,
Zac

theres a screw ontop of the throttle body that controls how much air enters into it.. turn that screw a full turn to the left (counterclockwise) and it should fix your issues. make sure if you have evoscan to turn on the sas actuator before turning the screw.

should resolve your issue. as long as its not surging or anything its not the sensor. dont worry either, happens to evos all the time in the winter weather. you may need to readjust it when it gets warmer out then also.

Your face is priceless looks like a episode of young and the restless.

Nice idle sounds very aggressive but no overlay feed..Speed density makes the car run like silk.Tom should be the idle guru now.

It appears that the Buschur Stage3 has the valvesprings and retainers needed to put up with the S3s. They are a dual spring so I would think they are something like a Supertech for what they can handle.
