Little Iphone video I did the pull before things went to crap.
This was just of how good the car idles, drives and the crazy *** tire spin in 3rd gear. Remember the car is on RE01's, 245-45-17's and strapped down tight!

Finally got to watch the video... my god those rpms bang up there when you get on it. It sucks what happened with the throttle body screw, but at least you know the motor is worth rebuilding. After all of your various engine combinations it seems like you've hit on a winner.
Yeah, I don't know if this will be the best engine for drag use or not but it will certainly be the best for driving, enjoying and autocrossing. We will see soon enough I hope!
After seeing the response of this car I think I changed my mind from wanting a 2.3 with a red or black, to wanting an hta3586 on this 2.3!! I hope you get it back together soon, and thank you for always pushing to make new and better products! That thing looks like an animal, becareful driving around town with it hahaha!
I still can't believe how those revs jump in that vid... thats breathtaking.
Thanks for the comments guys, not much to say other than it was for sure bad ***!
The head was being welded up today and starting to get reshaped. New cranks from Manley showed up today for this build and a few others. I'd love to see it done within a few weeks, we will see.

DB....Since this is your "experiment" any thoughts of running slightly domed pistons to get the CR up in the 11 range? Seems e85 sure likes compression. The slight removal of the gap under 1/2 of the valve at full open might reduce turbulence and allow a little more air in. Not to mention, this has never been done before.
I mean since you are in so good with the piston company and all. : )
Oh and there is something to be said about a car that is "fun" to drive and can do everything you want and more. I think gone are the days that we build these cars for strictly drag racing. I can't wait to get home and go AutoX with you. Remember...."keep your hand off of the shifter" LMAO.
