Like my last turbo it seems laggy compared to evo9 stock turbo
I swapped back the stock 9 and gained 500rpm+ in spool.
The top end isn't even near...but daily from 2000-5000 is in fact more fun.

I guess the GtII 7460r is the best of both worlds.

Yep, I have a suspicion it's because of the boost leak I'm experiencing.

Results are completed. I detuned all sporadic knock for these results. I also updated post #1.

Pretty similar in spool and a good amount of power. Only 24psi as well. At the same boost level you knocked off 0.32 from the 4000-7000 range. Looks like you definitely will be faster at the Drag Strip

Nice comparison man. That is some good testing.

Would like to see what gains you see whenever you turn up the "wick"

I like to benchmark that range because it's used quite often in autocross. .25s sounds like a lot for autocross, but in 2nd gear, it's considerably less, but then again, I have lost by hundredths of a second before, lol.
That is a great test! If/when you upgrade your FMIC, do the same test. Like I said before I felt no difference, but since you are obviously good at comparing data, go for it!

Peak whp vs power under the curve my friend. I asked myself the SAME question and since I had a mapswitching setup with aquamist alky injection I can confidently say that BBK on pump > IX turbo on alky/e85 (cost aside):

Basically, 25whp peak difference is not much, but at 7500rpm its more like 65whp If you can do e85, its worth it. If not, this is the route to go IMHO

Exactly.

The power is amazing, but the power after peak torque kept pulling and pulling. It's definitely noticeable over the evo9 turbo .
Glad to hear you are moving to the end of tuning and getting time to ENJOY the new setup!

This data is amazing. If everyone did this level of comparisons (and published them) the world would be a better place. Great great data, thank you for sharing!

Yeah, I think a nice big FMIC + less restricted LICP + 26-27 PSI should increase that AUC by quite a bit.

Reading the threads again, I did have some pulls (when it was running a razor edge tune) that put the car around 380whp . Torque didn't proportionally go up, but it's cool to throw the initial guesses on what affects what, and to see how close the results are to it.

delete, chart didn't scale properly with rpm (anyone good with excel and knows how to overlay graphs correctly?)

Alright, got the charts to work. This is a boost and airflow comparison between the two turbos. So I guess the 325rpm peak boost lag that the other chart reports is not very relevant. In this graph, it shows boost only lagging by about 150rpms. This is great because it reinforces the idea that peak numbers do not always tell the whole story.

Excellent work on the comparison. Pretty much exactly what I expected... and the best thing is you have plenty of room to grow. Because the efficiency range of the BBK will scale even more efficiently with higher boost than the IX turbo, it starts picking up a lot with a couple more psi thrown at it.

No problem at all! I enjoyed the process and it makes me appreciate my hardware that much more. I'd be more than happy to do some independent 3rd party analysis of CBRD's great intercooler if one came my way
