Running lean on top... Help

ok so im finally tuning my car for e85 and Im running a br double pumper with id 2000s with a built 2.0 with a 6262. It does fine until up top it starts leaning out. How is the double pumper not enough for my setup? Or is it that one of the pumps are not working? How is the double pumper meant to be wired up exactly? I didnt install it but am working on tracing back to see how it was done and need yaws help figuring this out. Any help would be greatly appreciated

BR double pumper activates the 2nd pump via a hobb switch, so its pressure related. around 4-5psi it will turn on the second pump. If it doesnt activate, then the fuse may be blown inbetween the hobb switch and the fuel system.

assuming the injectors are scaled properly, you should have enough fuel to support more HP then you most likely cant afford to make.

A quick test would be to do a boost leak test and the pump will activate, you will hear it turn on.

I had a problem with the fuse popping and I got that fixed. Is it possible the pump has went bad already? It has around 2000 miles on it

Pumps could go bad any time. Test it out and don't beat on it until you do.

yep, anythings possible. for now just be careful with it and test it the best you can. - you can activate the primary fuel pump with evoscan to confirm it turns on and doesnt sound abnormal, (no squeeling or overly loud noises), i never had a issue with the fuse coming out - id suspect something odd with that alone. i have about 14k on mine and no issues.

then the 2nd pump you can activate via the hobb switch by supplying pressure to it to confirm it also turns on and sounds normal.

what i would do is is compare the sound on both pumps to make sure they both sound normal..

then if its still doing it, maybe connect a gauge to read the fuel pressure as its happening to determine what is going on.

is the battery/ ground all secure and strong?
