E85 vs 93oct

Here's a test case showing the power gains I unlocked just switching to E85 and redoing the tune, all other mods being equal (24psi on both tests).

Mods are:
BBK-Full ported @24psi
GSC S1 cams
QTP 3" downpipe dump exhaust
ETS 3˝" intercooler
ported/coated exhaust manifold & Megan o2 housing
Vibrant cone air filter
Nisei licp
PTE 1000cc injectors
Walbro 255 fuel pump

421hp / 361tq
That's +43hp +29tq (about 11% peak gain)

This is very revealing. Exactly the kind of test I like to see - apples to apples.

Good stuff! You could probably turn up the boost a little more on the E85 and get even more out of it.

Yea, I know I can. I gotta test this at my autocross track to see if it's too explosive for how tight of a course we run. Otherwise, I may have to detune , or start attending bigger tracks .

Anyways, how much torque is the stock clutch rated for? I'm still on it, haha.

I use both of these dyno programs when I tune, however, I prefer DLL in some ways. I'm not fully convinced on VD's accuracy. For instance, VD's 5250rpm crossover point isn't even the same on both lines here. Also, when I chart graphs in excel using the raw data logs, the boost plots at spoolup are much smoother looking than VD's.

It looks like you could stand to add a degree or two of timing from 3000 to 3400. Maybe interpolate?

Very nice results!

1.08 was my least favorite version of VD. The new ones are outstanding though.

I don't know. I just downloaded the new version and boost still looks out of whack compared to a graph taken right out of the raw data log in excel (VD on left, excel on right):

You mentioned stock clutch i have a local tuned at 430 WTQ 480whp he just made the change to E85 , and this was all the clutch would hold. It was fine around 400wtq 430whp .
