All in all I will say this. I know what I want with the car its just getting there and keeping it there is the prob. If I could get 600 400 or hell even 625,650 however much 400 tq I would be very very happy with that. Tom I know you and I talked about it and we both know its doable its just getting the things I need thats stoppin me
No Tom is right. Back when I was working all the time I thought about getting a head for my build. That one you were talking about has been on there a while. It would be different if I already had the car running right and top notch and still had money to burn but I dont. I mean 500 dollar fuel setup or 1000 dollar head or however much it was I mean its a no brainer. Well that and I don't have the money for either right now

I have a bit of an update. I did finally get a Buschur double pumper and it should be here hopefully by this weekend, Mondayish. I am gonna be busy the rest of the week with stuff but hopefully if it is here before the weekend I can get it installed. I know Tom has been working his butt off doing other things, so hopefully when he gets a free min we can get the car tuned.
I do have some conserns though. Being I have 64k ish on the motor I am just afraid to make more power being Idk the shape of the motor. I know Tom will do the best to keep the tq where it should be and all, but now the motor is getting up there in miles and I have been at a decent power level should I worry to much? Or is it just in my head?

Well that is the thing I have a goal I would like to make and now that was the final piece needed. I told Tom 600/400 and being now I have myself head room with dropping down to 25 psi, instead of keeping it up at 33 and adding the 3 port I know he can make the #'s I want. I try to keep the motor in really good working order, proper oil changes etc but I think I am ok being I don't beat on the car all the time and it hasn't been to the track. I am sure I'm just playing head games with myself. I am sure Tom will chime in. Money is tight right now, and building isn't gonna be an option till I can go back to work so I guess I will hope for the best.
It's a gamble at these torque levels which we all know... you are just about exactly where I was power and mileage and my stock block looked great when MAP tore it apart. Now I question my head studs.. but we forgot to measure them.

Yeah as I stated my goal was 600/400 range. With the 3 port Tom can stretch that tq level out some more and I am sure it will be fine. My car does have Arp head studs on it as it sits. Like I said I want it to hold together till I can get the funds to build. I have stuff for sale that I haven't put up on here for some reason but there are things I would like get first. I have no idea what the car makes at 25 psi, but I am pretty sure I am under the 500 mark and under the 400 mark. Car pulls no where near what it did and thats understandable. Tom does a great job tuning but its just one of those things I am sure no one can answer of how healthy is the motor.

I was at 20k less miles then you and a little less power 500/400 and decided to build mine, but i also autox and road race the car. Its funny you see stock motors pop at 370-470WTQ, But having a built motor guarantees nothing 'most' built engines never make it to 40k miles for one reason or another.
