I've also been spending money on other upgrades and that's taken away from my cash flow for the turbo. I bought some Robispec KW Race coilovers (for dirt cheap), corner balanced them etc so that took a big chunk of change. I am a budget modder with limitations on my ability to spend so I do everything as cost efficiently as possible... so when a deal for freshly rebuilt Robispec Races for $1250 comes up, I gotta jump on it.

My bad... I will try to speed things up.

The turbine housing is the same on the evo 9 turbo and evo 8.5, so a 2005 evo 8 tubine housing would also work, should be able to pick one up for about 100 bucks

Louball!!!

You may all blame the above poster for this waiting game, he's the one that convinced me to hit up MAP and inquire about their new EF2.5. This dude is like my guardian angel for all my Evo power moddin exploits.

Just gathering the funds to finish paying MAP For the turbo... I still owe $884! Maybe Nate can help me get it faster.

How long till you get the turbo?

I'm planning on sending mine in 2 weeks and having it converted after my issue with my ef2 is resolved

I hope to have it the week after next. Then my friend and I will install it and HollywoodX will be remote tuning it.

I should've started a donation fund for faster results LOL... being 23, living on your own, and just starting your career means it can take time to get these things done. Not quite ballin' yet like some of these EvoM gangsters.

GL! kinda excited also.. Been eyeing this turbo and kinda want to see the results around the same set up as me! Might have to start saving up pennies for this bad boy.

Maybe i missed it eariler in this thread.. But what is the estimated cost of sending in stock 8 turbo with 10.5 for the ef2.5?

Hope all goes well!

Thank you sir, unfortunately you cant upgrade the evo 8 turbo into an EF2.5. Map requires an evo 9 turbo for upgrades to the EF2, EF2.5, EF3, EF4. I've heard a few instances theyve built the EF2 from an evo 8 compressor/10.5 hotside, but dont hold your breath lol. The EF2.5 uses the EF2 turbine wheel for quick spool and EF3 compressor wheel for up top power. The evo 8 compressor doesnt have enough material to mill out to hold the EF3 wheel.

PS: SD? you coming to proving grounds or any of the MN meets? Boost for Boobies? Etc
