Getsideways MAPerformance EF3 2.4 LR Break In Jordantuned

My car starts In below 0* temperature on E85 and drives smoother then stock especially in the powerband, Kudos to Jordan.

Heres Most of the Stuff that matters

Stock MAF, TB, Ignition.

Block 4G64 2.4 LR 10.0:1 Wiseco HDs MAP Howard 156mm Long rods Used lighter weight 4G69 crank

Intercooler, ETS 4''

Full Hard Pipes Custom Fabbed short route aluminum, Synapse DV

Intake manifold, MAP REV3 coated

Head, MAP Stage 5 with CC matching

Exhaust manifold Is MAP ported and coated

Turbo is a MAP EF3 Ported Coated with Internal AND External Wastegates

Downpipe is MAP Divorced With External Dump And turbosmart Wastegate

Exhaust is Cobb

Competition Clutch Stage 3.5 clutch Sprung with Lightweight Flywheel.

Walbro 400 E85 Version and FIC 1450 Injectors.

This car was built to be the ultimate Street car, with perfect drive-ability and a fat powerful powerband.
I dont think there is a better setup then what has been created here for my purposes and I'm Very Proud of the outstanding way these parts work together.

Tuned by Jordan At MAPerformance
This is a low boost low power breakin tune... I've observed AFRs in the Mid 10s and boost at 22-24 PSI. There is a ton left in this Setup.

Comments from MAP...''Found this one (Dyno Chart)on my PC. Seems it had a spike on the boost curve around 5000. This is the least amount of power I could get it to make. Timing is maybe 7 degrees peak with no MIVEC changes.

When we do the final tune we may need to rethink waste gate setup. I still have the internal in it set very low. Which is why there is a slower hit than normal on this turbo.''

Thanks, There are some previous videos from the old setup through boosted films, Otherwise you might want to subscribe to his Youtube channel as he produces a lot of car/evo related content.

I cannot stress enough how nice it was to work with One team (MAP) through the entire process, It made things so simple and the aftermarket parts worked together flawlessly.

That video was awesome you were flying on that ice what a blast you must have had!

Good luck with the car I hope it stays reliable for you and that you keep driving it the way it was meant to be driven. BTW I like that you live up to your username

Nice build and very solid #'s. The car must be a blast to drive especially in the snow. After your breakin is up how much more power do you expect with your setup.

I expect it to make well north of 600WHP, with a much earlier torque hit.

Im hopeful it will be around 650 which is 100 WHP over what the turbo is rated for

Out of curiosity is it 7* peak like MAX at 8k or 7* at peak torque? Looks awful smooth for just 7* out the top. Good numbers though for sure.

Wondering about the benefits of internal and external Watergate's. Is the internal one needed or is it an upgraded Wastegate that comes with the map turbo?

Im pretty sure its 7* out the top, I havent checked the map myself but i would assume from the way he said it that its THAT conservative right now.

You will have to contact the guys at MAP for the best answer,
However my understanding is the external will not get forced open as easily at high boost levels/RPMs on stock frame turbos, Basically holding boost better up top. If you were to simply eliminate the internal one you will loose the benefits of the twin scroll turbo and response and spool would suffer.

When used together you get the response of the internal twin scroll along with the consistency and ability to hold boost up top better with the external. At least thats my belief.

Checked it this morning, I cant run a log since we live in the cold wonderful state of WI....
But IF its between 340-360 load at 7500RPM numbers were 9* 8*
7000RPM 8* 7*
Peak torque is 1-4 depending on load

Im not sure what timing you're able to 'normally' run on a 2.4 on E85 ? I thought Mid teens was widely common, leading me to hope theres a ton of power left there as well...

Does map release the sizes of the comp/compressor wheels? How does it compare to fp red or bbkc?
